codewars-rackunit's Issues

No way to customize failure messages

message parameters of checks are ignored.
I'd like parameters passed to a solution be printed in case of failure. Now it can be done for all test cases or it can be done with double checking and logging before a real check, both of which don't look too good.

Do we need some change or improvement on output, or #:mode?

Trying to solve some katas with Racket, I find some tests seem be weird. For example, in https://www.codewars.com/kata/1-slash-n-cycle/train/racket, you can see the test writer make a dotest function, displaying the param, actual, and expected. Those information would be displayed in LOG, neither PASS nor FAILED.

I think this might be because the writer don't know how to use rackunit, and our codewars/rackunit wrapper.

I would like to add a new behavior to the #:mode argument. Beside the 'quiet, 'simple, etc symbol, the argument can be a list of symbols. If it is a list, run-tests will use these symbols as the name of target check-infos. So test writes can make more custom output of test results.

After the run-tests api being stable, I will write some document about it, which maybe would be helpful to let test writers know how to use this better.
