mailalytics's Introduction

Mailalytics: Mail Analytics Project
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Chart #1: X people sent Y Messages
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This could be used to create three histograms. This shows how many people sent
a certain number 1) messages, 2) new messages, and 3) replies. In this
representation, Total is independent from New and Replies therefore in this
case Total != New + Replies.

  | Total | New | Replies
-------------------------
1 | 5 | 4 | 3
2 | 6 | 2 | 3
3 | 9 | 4 | 4

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chart #2: Y number of threads of size X
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This attempts to look at the engagement based on a histogram of the length of
conversations.

# Threads | Size |
---------------------------------------
    1 | 11 |
    2 | 13 |
    3 | 15 |
    4 | 17 |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Chart #3: Engagement Dashboard
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is manually maintained for the time being.

              | Jan | Feb | Mar | ... |
---------------------------------------
Members Total | | | | |
Engaged | | | | |
Percentage | | | | |

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Future Work
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1) List membership countter over time (historical)
2) Use Gnuplot or Google Charts to create automatic data representations.
