bootstrap-boilerplate's Issues

Documentation to extend even further

Describe the task
After importing the boilerplate code, there's a possibility to extend even further. Some guides/readme files can help to get an idea of what all can be extended and how to extend.

Expected behavior
Updates to the main readme file and possibly separate markdown files for details.

Additions to boilerplate

Describe the task
Recently, we have completed several features in projects by directly utilizing wordpress-init code (which doesn't have this package). We need to update the boilerplate code by figuring out the additional things we added on those projects that'll be good to have in all the projects.

Expected behavior

  1. Additions to utilities.scss
  2. Additions to variables.scss
  3. Additions to media utilties.

Documentation for what all is additional in this boilerplate

Describe the task
This package provides a lot of things on top of Bootstrap. There should be a documentation of what all is it.

Expected behavior
A docs folder with one or more markdown files. They will cover:

  1. Line heights
  2. Font sizes
  3. Min/max values
  4. Background positioning
  5. Refer the utilities.scss for more
  6. Refer the variables.scss for more

These markdown files inside the docs folder will be later used to create the GitHub pages.

Remove redundant functionalities

Describe the task
We have several functionalities like Grunt, package-lock.json, package.json, etc, which may not be needed at all to compile our extended SCSS files.
These functionalities can be deleted and the package should have only had relevant files.

Expected behavior

  1. SCSS can be compiled via simple sass compile command.
  2. Update readme for system dependencies like sass command etc.
