While I had not been able to join earlier today even through incognito, the link works now. Maybe the new limit just needed some time to roll through GitHub's systems?

So, if you are having an issue accessing that GH Classroom link, it is not anything that we can fix at the moment. GitHub saw us inviting a whole bunch of people to the organization and cut us off for security reasons (see screenshot below).

I'm opening a support ticket and we'll get this taken care of.

It has even, apparently, cut off my ability to add new members to teams internally (see below). It looks like we hit 50 new requests in less than an hour and that was what triggered the cutoff.

@angusingram can you accept your pending invitation or is it even blocking that?

And everything is fixed. They raised our invite cap to 250.

All who were unable yesterday to add themselves to the organization should be able to do so now.

An error message of "You are forbidden from performing this action on github.com" pops up when trying to join the classroom through the provided link. Tried signing out and in and clearing cache.

I have an error "You are forbidden from performing this action on github.com" even after using the link in John's newest post from this morning.

Could anyone who is still experiencing this issue try signing out and clearing your cache as @GillianZech did and let me know if that works? Might just be an outdated token.

I am able to join the organization now, using the link that was sent in the Sakai announcement. It wasn't working previously but it works for me now.
