Missing version

The version 2.5.4 that was released to TER on May, 16th is not available at packagist.org as the tag is missing here. Would you mind to tag the commit and "release" that version?

Support of TYPO3 8.x

Would be nice to have owl_slider supporting the new TYPO3 8.x

I have tried to just change the required cms version but currently it seems to be a problem with the TCA definition.

Improve quality of Slider-Images?

Hello there,

first of: nicely done! Very easy to install, quite awesome to use!

I have an issue regarding the image-quality of the included images in the slider.
Everything works as it should, but my images are rendered down, so they don't look like they should.
This way, the slider is not usable for me - did I overlook the part of the configuration, where i can adjust my image quality? I want them to look exactly as the files I upload.

I added a screenshot of an example - you cant overlook the bad image quality :)

TYPO3 exception, if plugin is added through CE 'Insert Records' (TYPO3 v8)

When the plugin is added through a content element 'Insert Records', the following TYPO3 Exception occurs:

Oops, an error occurred!
Section "main" does not exist.

Versions:

owl_slider: current master version
TYPO3: several minor versions of TYPO3 v8

TypoScript only contains the Static templates from fluid_styled_content and owl_slider.

In TYPO3 v7 this usage type with the exact setup works fine. Other extension's plugins can be added this way in TYPO3 v8.

I get these errors when I try to put the slider plugin on the content or create a new slider item in a storage folder. I am using tx_gridelements and tx_jfmulticontent. Any conflicts known?

No Access tab, no starttime and endtime field

Hi!

I have a TYPO3 8.7.6 and a 2.5.2 version of owlSlider installed on it. I made an upgrade from TYPO3 7.6.x and before the upgrade, we never had that issue... but now...

When i add a slide, i can't put a start or a end time on it because the fields seem to be hidden. What's going on? Can i forgot to do something in configuration?

Itemcontent no editor just textarea

I am using Typo3 9.5.3 with owl_slider 3.0.0. According to documentation the itemcontent field should be an editor field --> https://docs.typo3.org/typo3cms/extensions/owl_slider/3.0.0/Functions/Customnavigation/Index.html. However I see just a plain textarea. Is this a bug?

gibt es einen Grund, warum ihr im Viewhelper die Datei "owl.carousel.js" nicht komprimiert einbindet (owl.carousel.min.js) ?
Gibt bei PageSpeed Insights ein paar mehr Punkte

The example in the documentation seems wrong (template analyzer reports it as an error)... I tried with both:

whithout results.

How can I change the string predef.example string? can I write plugin.tx_owlslider.settings.whatever or plugin.tx_owlslider.settings.test ?

Cannot use TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility as ExtensionManagementUtility

I get this error when I install owl-slider.It is not an issue of owl-slider alone but one that should be fixed in owl-slider as well.

what it says is basically remove
use TYPO3\CMS\Core\Utility\ExtensionManagementUtility;
from ext_localconf.php
as it might create issues when caching if another extension was called earlier.

Slider transition not adjustable

Hi,
I'm using your owl_slider v 2.5.3 package with TYPO 7.6.22.
Per default the slides will change each 8 seconds.
Each try to decrease the duration failed and it still waits 8 seconds before the next slides fades in. May that be an issue?

I have updated the version 2.5.4 so it is now compatible with TYPO3 9.5.
Are you interested in that version?
You could compare it e.g. with WinMerge.

Use includeJSFooterlibs instead of includeJSFooter to avoid duplicate jQuery

There is a special TypoScript option for JavaScript libs like jQuery:
includeJSFooterlibs

If you use it in your Configuration/TypoScript/setup.txt you can avoid multiple includes of the same library.

Also you can drop the forceOnTop.

And if you set your path to the lib as constant you could drop the "if" because it is not rendered if you delete the constant with

I am using TYPO3 7.6.2 and the latest version of owl_slider.
The owl.carousel.js file inlcuded with \ext\owl_slider\Classes\ViewHelpers\AddJsFooterInlineCodeViewHelper.php

seems not included. I had to add it via typoscript.

I am also using t3jquery and jh_magnificpopup

changing slide height has no effect

I changed the slideHeight to a different value as 120px (400px) via the Constant Editor, but it seems not to have any effect. The height of the slider still remains at 120px.

Template path without function

Hi, im trying to set the root-path for Layout, Templates and Partials to a fileadmin-folder. But my settings are ignored. I tried to set them in constants and setup, TS-Object-Browser shows the path correctly, but the new location is ignored?

Looks like this the in constants

Some bugs found

Hi! My colleagues and I have unfortunately found some new bugs in owl_slider version 2.5.3... Hope you can fix them... :)

I have a two language website (French and English). French is my default language. I can't select it in the dropdown list. View Screenshot1.
When I translate my slider, it has to be linked to the original slider. But when i choose Transl.Orig value in the select list, it doesn't keep my value I've chosen... View Screenshot2.
When I select an image already uploaded in the fileadmin, it is adding an underscore and a number to the filename. But, in the fileadmin, the image doesn't have an underscore nor of number. View Screenshot3.
You've fixed this bug (#25) I've sent before, but when i choose an hour and a date to publish my slide and when i save it, it goes back to another date and hour 00:00... View Screenshot4.

Grüezi! Would it be possible to add a TS option to select the order of the owl slider items to be ASC or DESC? By default it seems to be "Z-A". Now using js to modify it. Jochen
