Can you include the file or is it downloaded with arduino studio?

The system should inform the user about the failed connection. I propose:

• "No Net" => if WLan is not reacable or system does not have an ip
• "Offline" => if the server can not be found over DNS
• "No Service" => Server did not respond correctly

These Messages would then slide over the 4 7-Segment Displays

Currently we use Arduino to download targets and libaries and compile the .ino file. It would be easier to use platformio take care of these stuff to have more or less reproducible builds with the correct version of the toolchain and libraries.

Can we have some debouncing implemented, meaning that the value is only sent if it didn't change for 10 seconds?

Instead of relying on TLS (heavyweight) and TLS hashes (can change), implementing a challenge-response protocol in combination with a HMAC function and a shared secret could be an alternative:
