I dont know for what exactly you use it, probably analytics?
Facebook is known for violating users privacy and is also non foss.
Shouldnt google-analytics (which itself has a lot of problems, anti-privacy etc..) be enough?
Really like your Software though.

The https://appstore.com/mac/CotEditor link results in a "The item you've requested is not currently available in the U.S. store." error message.

However, a search for "CotEditor" with in the App Store does found CotEditor successfully. However, i can not determine what the correct link is to provide here.

The privacy policy states no data is ever collected, however Blacklight detected Google Analytics on this site.

Why is Google Analytics used here and is it really needed?

Google Analytics is one of the major contributors to widespread surveillance on the internet because it’s present on a significant percentage of websites and apps.  Even FOSS which should lead by example is unfortunately no exception.

Preferably we could get rid of analytics all together, but if you absolutely need to collect some basic data here’s a list of FOSS and privacy-friendly options.

I found at line 150 of index.html,

The split_view.svg depicts wrong split panel because the application cannot split editor vertically like that. It can only do splitting horizontally.
ps: This might or might not be an issue depend on perspective.

などオフィシャル性の高いものから

• CotEditor の使用 Tips
• 次期版のチラ見せ

みたいな、ゆるいもののまで扱いたい。

エンジンはせっかくなので Jekyll を使用する予定。英語と日本語同時にポストにするとポストが面倒になるので、英語／日本語別々に好きなタイミングで投稿できるようにしようと考えている。

RSSによる配信もする。コメント投稿は最初はなし。そのうち Disqus に対応する。とにかく簡単でいいから立ち上げてしまいたい。

ポストの仕方はここの Wiki にまとめるつもり。

CotEditor 1.5のリリースとは別のマイルストーンで進める（間に合うに越したことはないが）。

@bitigchi Hi, I'd like to ask you if you could localize the text added after your PR #22 in the release notes for 4.2.0. The release notes for 4.2.0-beta were good. It may help users who speak Turkish. So I'd like to reuse them for the stable 4.2.0, which I plan to release several days later.

I already made a draft for releasenotes/4.2.0.tr.html. It would be great if you localize the English text in that and make a PR.
