crunch-2's Issues

Only first .less file invokes auto save

Yesterday I reported that only one of my imported .less files invokes a auto save. I can confirm that it is still doing this. Please see attached image. I have 2 files linked and only the first one auto save when I edit. The second file does not show up as linked either.

Sometimes Crunchable doesn't show "type"

For some projects, for some reason, the type (.LESS, .CSS) is not present as a header over the list of files of that type.

Related: sometimes the dot is present in .LESS, sometimes it isn't. o_O

When a folder doesn't exist Crunch does not work

I use Transmit a lot, which is an FTP client that create virtual drive with my mac. When I open crunch, If I'm not connected to the server where I was working last, I cannot open Crunch II (b3), I have to close crunch, connect to the server and then reopen Crunch. It should at least close all projects.

.crunch file paths aren't normalized

On Mac, the key of the path in .crunch is saved as

"src/html/less/styles.less"

On Windows:

"src\\html\\less\\styles.less"

All paths should be normalized to Unix style (forward slash) so that the keys are the same across platforms.

Losing part of the first character of a line

This happens when the line numbers hit double figures. Although it seems start at line number 11, which may have something to do with the first line number appearing to be a letter "S".

Save Options, Line Number & Tab Icon issues

You are probably aware of these but I thought I'd check in case.

I've attached a screenshot to illustrate the issues.

  1. The cog, next to the filename, to select the options for file saving isn't visible with long filenames. Although there is a scrollbar available at the bottom of the treeview, would it be possible to have the option window open on first save to .css file?
  2. Losing part of the first character of a line.
This happens when the line numbers hit double figures. Also, first line number appears to be an "S".
  3. Icon not at end of tab.

CSS not minified

It seems CSS is not minified by default. I can't find where can I activate this option (also to turn off generate source map file). I edited manually the JSON ".crunch" file in the project folder, but didn't work.

Wire Ctrl/Cmd+Enter as "Save All in Crunchable, then Crunch"

Ctrl+Enter used to trigger Crunch in Crunch 1.x. Crunches are triggered on save, but one user reported being used to using Ctrl+Enter. So, it can essentially serve the same purpose by saving all files being edited in a crunchable and Crunching that project.

Opening files via Finder bypasses Pro activation detection

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open an unactivated copy of Crunch 2.
  2. Through the shortcut (Cmd+O) or the menu bar (Open File), open a Pro-supported (.coffee, .scss, etc) file from a Finder file prompt.

Expected Result:
The file should fail to open, showing a CTA to upgrade to Crunch Pro.

Actual Result:
The file opens and can be compiled as if it were any other file.

File showing twice

When I create a file from outside crunch, it displays twice (situation goes back to normal when closing and reopening)

Not minifying css file

Not sure if this is an issue or just not implemented yet but I can find anywhere to minify the .css file.

Have I missed it.

Regards

Martin

PS. I'm using Windows 10 x64.

Crunchable isn't tested for valid files?

It looks like Crunch will display the file tree from the last compile, even if some of those files no longer exist. As well, updating the Crunchable list with files added / removed in general isn't updating, maybe if those files are in sub-paths I'm thinking.
