if user is newly created with no interests, recommendrecipes fails because they have no top genre

• make top genre "All" by default, then change it if they actually have one

Should users be restricted to viewing the full versions of recipes only from the list of previews they just viewed (eg. from a specific genre, or from just their saved recipes)? Or is this a bug we can push to phase2?

Refactoring is needed.

maybe when initializing new recipes, set rating to -1 to indicate that no reviews have been left yet?

app dies when you try and unselect a genre

right now, the way the database class methods work is by establishing a connection with a local SQLite database. the issue is that this connection process requires the specific filepath of the database. While this works on my local device because I can find and specify the filepath of my sqlite folder, im unclear on how to translate this to other devices.

GUI should bounce back user if they try to use a username that is already taken?

Recommend recipe uses recursion to allow for number of recommendations to be very large, but it has only been made to work in theory. It needs to be thoroughly tested before being used in the app and elsewhere. It has many helper methods which also need to be tested. The issue is that this method may not work!
