I'm learning React and Redux by developing the classic game of Tic Tac Toe.

Whoa, hey there, don't get all excited now, this is just me learning React and Redux, so don't go expecting any coding masterpieces here (yet).

This project was bootstrapped with Create React App. You might find the guide to performing common tasks handy.

tic-tac-toe's Issues

Game state can be shared across browsers

Get basic SNS/SQS wiring in place so that game state can be shared. Don't worry yet about whose turn it is and such, just get shared state of any kind working.

Visual indication of where you can and cannot mark a square

(i.e. square is already marked)

Simulate asynchronous moves

Maybe just add a delay? This is a learning exercise in preparation for sharing game state.

Visual indication of the winning line

You know, the classic "strike through" of the three squares that won the game.

Square keys shouldn't be case sensitive

Makes the API more resilient if both "a1" and "A1" work just fine.

Invite a friend to play

Could be as simple as sending a URL

Layout should scale nicely

Would be a good opportunity to learn a bit more about flexbox and scalable UIs. Currently when you resize the window smaller than the game board, you end up with a single column.

More granular/efficient updates to the UI

Currently the entire board redraws when a single square changes. Need to make this more granular. Of course, performance is completely acceptable for this application, but I'd like a better understanding of how component updates work for larger applications.

Forfeit/reset/"start new game"

Allow the player to restart the game (without reloading the browser)
