cubingcontests.com's Issues

Contribution agreement / results data license

In order to let the website display results, and for others to download/use it, it would be good to have a policy that specifies how the data can be used, and by whom.

It would also be good to have a policy for matching WCA policies, e.g. around anonymizing a profile name on request.

Time input changes on completion

When entering a time, it subtracts one day on completion:

It's also very annoying that you can't edit individual digits and need to backspace to the spot you want to edit.

Support results with more than 99 moves for Speed FMC

Some people at BASC 59 had over 99 moves for Speed FMC:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1RWEQo8jQeuZHz2mB5pDdZE2LWYA_TNdu2uUQgGlZv28/edit#gid=0

Unlike regular FMC, it doesn't take any longer to judge longer solutions, so I think this should be allowed. Further:

  • 100 moves is a typical number of moves for a beginner, and I think there's still value in having them participate.
  • if someone makes a big mistake this still allows them some chance of recovery and at least get a full mean of 3.

Contests index page is broken

Hey!
Is there something wrong with current deployment?
Contests index page URL https://cubingcontests.com/competitions in any case responds with HTTP 304, so contests page is not available unless it is cached by browser previously.

Add top team rankings for team events

Team events should have an additional way of sorting the rankings in addition to top persons and top results: top teams. It should show the best results from each combination of team members. For example, Jimmy and Bobby is a different team from Bobby and Suzy, and should both be shown in the rankings.

Add a competitor profile page

Should be similar to the WCA competitor profile page, except meetups and comps could be separated into separate tabs.
