sky-remote-cli's Issues

Can't install

Trying to get back into this. I'm trying to install as per your instructions but it fails.
See attached npm log. Can you advise please?
npm-debug.log

Takes very long to execute

Hi,
I like your work very much, but it takes a very very very long time till it executes from pressing Enter...about 13 seconds.
Any idea what I can do speed it up. I'am working on raspberry pi4

thanx

Robert

when running from the CL i get the following:
/usr/bin/env: node: No such file or directory

running on a Rpi3, Jessie Lite

Google Home Integration

I wanted to thank you on your code - it is excellent.

This is not an issue - but I am hoping that you can help, or point me in the right direction.

I have the commands successfully controlling my sky box via my Raspberry pi using:
sky-remote-cli action

I would like to add a voice command to Google Home, to initiate a command from the Pi. Do you know if this is something that has been developed? Therefore, instead of typing the commands, you could say: OK Google, Sky Channel 101

I appreciate any help - thank you

Monitoring Sky box

It would be nice to be able to see what channel is currently on and the play status (i.e. Playing, Paused), if this is possible. :-)

Work with Sky Q?

Not an issue, but wondering if this should work with Sky Q?

I've tried it, but not managed to get it to work (via Home Assistant on a Raspberry Pi). Or is it just the NodeJS one that works with Sky Q?
(I'm wanting to use it with Home Assistant, and not even sure if that could run sky-remote (JavaScript).

Getting Sky On/Off Status

Not an issue per se, more a question.
Is there a way to extract some info from the sky box itself? For example whether the box is on or off?
Calling the power function will toggle the box on or off, and without knowing its status, it's quite difficult to know what action will really be carried out on the box.

Thanks
Laurent
