theghostsofonigawa's Introduction

Arkham Horror LCG: The Ghosts of Onigawa

What?

The Ghosts of Onigawa is a 'fan-brew' cycle/expansion set designed by the Arkham.cards team to be compatible with Arkham Horror: The Card Game by Fantasy Flight Games.

The Ghosts of Onigawa cycle consists of two component 'products':

  • The Ghosts of Onigawa Investigator Expansion
  • The Ghosts of Onigawa Campaign Expansion

The Ghosts of Onigawa Investigator Expansion contains 100 new player cards, including 6 custom investigators:

The Ghosts of Onigawa Campaign Expansion contains eight custom scenarios which may be played standalone or combined to form an eight-part campaign:

  • The Hidden Village
  • The House on the Hill
  • The River Delta
  • The War Eternal
  • Half Light
  • The End of August
  • The Molten Armory
  • The Black Harvest

Why?

The Ghosts of Onigawa's principal goal is to mechanically-adapt/pay-loving-homage-to pan-Asian horror and fantasy concepts to/in the more classically-Lovecraftian Arkham Horror setting, while spotlighting the work of asian concept/fantasy artists (and other arists working in that milleu).

When?

The Ghosts of Onigawa v1.0 was initially released on 10/10/2022.

The final v2.0 update (Return to The Ghosts of Onigawa) was released on 6/28/2023.

Where?

You can obtain the latest version of The Ghosts of Onigawa in any of the following ways:

  • Subscribing to the Steam Workshop module for Tabletop Simulator on Steam.
  • Downloading the latest json and pdf objects from the releases page here on Github (useful for importing into SCE).
  • Accessing The Ghosts of Onigawa modules from the in-game Community Content catalog in SCE 3.0+.
  • Ordering 'Print-on-Demand' physical copies of either or both of the Campaign Expansion or Investigator Expansion from MakePlayingCards.com. (Note: We are not involved in either payment for or fufillment of these items; we make no money off physical sales and only offer 'pre-configured' packages from a third-party printer for you to order for your convenience.)
  • Printing your own DIY Print-and-Play/Print-on-Demand copies of the card scans using the source .png files available in this repo. You can also download the entire repository in one giant zip file here.
