There a way to use this with a scope less controller? I'd rather do vm.maps then $scope.maps

I would like to use this library but I found it extremely hard to implement in an actual AngularJs project where it uses separate controllers and views.

The first issue was that I could not initialize the map as described in the documentation, < google-map > directive doesn't seem to do anything. To initialize the map I had to clone the code as it was used in the demo where it uses a div with an attribute data-google-map instead.

The second problem I am facing is that I cannot use any of the services, I have added the modue dependency and then added the service in the controller I want to use it in. Unfortunately the $scope variables are not there so the code breaks.

Please help me to overcome this issue.

Could you please tell when you are planning to release new version, should I wait for it or look for something else?
