I am trying to run the uci experiments but the two variables are not defined. They are not actually used beyond the filename but k_variance sounds like an important variable so I just wanted to check if I can just remove it or not ?

I have been using rdpmeans and I believe there is an error in the cluster removal section.

centroid( c - add , : ) = [];
nbCluster = nbCluster - 1;
disp('Cluster removed!!!!!!!!!!!!! ')
add = add + 1;
ind = find(assignment > c );
assignment(ind) = assignment(ind) - 1;

when you remove more than one cluster at the same iteration you need to correct the assignments as well

centroid( c - add , : ) = [];
nbCluster = nbCluster - 1;

ind = find(assignment > c - add);
assignment(ind) = assignment(ind) - 1;
add = add + 1;

I tried to run the script experiment_toy.m as described in README.md. I got the following error when I did (I am using Matlab R2016b on MacOS):

Undefined function or variable 'containsMethod'.

Error in runClustering (line 102)
if ~containsMethod(name, titles)

Error in experiment_toy (line 22)
runClustering(X,Y,k, 'Gaussian-Mixtures', rate, p, true);
