Should look for an existing "LASTSETTINGS" or something file inside the executable-folder. Then it should use the settings there to start with. On shutdown, the current settings shall be saved there.

freezes forever. When you have a network cable attached, the freeze does not happen at all, even when you hit connect with a wrong ip address

When you open the Settings dialog and remove some entries but cancel it afterwards, the entries are deleted but of course still in memory.
