Hi, you did a great job modifying this template but I'd be great if you could add system/package requirements and an instruction explaining how to compile this project. It's not obvious to use LuaLaTeX/XeTex, also FontAwesome has to be installed system-wide to be used by this template.

Can we reduce the spacing created by \emptySeparator? Was hoping to compress this vertical space and add more lines on the page.

Tried using alternate commands like \vspace{-5mm}, \*, \linebreak etc. but they disturb the alignments in the tables that follow and are not useful.

New section when added for some sections goes to a new page. for example projects. I didn't find any page break or any new command that does that. What am i doing wrong?

I see that in your .cls file that you defined a new command for the image, i.e. \photo.
I noticed that if I change the "diameter" parameter, the photo is fully enlarged, but the part of the original picture that is taken remains the same.

Is there a way to modify your \photo command in such a way that the "diameter" parameter enlarges the section of the photo that is taken from the original picture, instead of enlarging the same selected part of the photo?
Alternatively: is there a way to browse the part of the original picture that is included in the photo section?
I ask this because I cannot find a way to fit my picture in a satisfactory way, since it always get cut in a weird way.

The template is really beautiful but I have two requests to make it more personalized for my situation. I would like to have two sections on the same line, like for example "Languages" and "Strengths". Do you know how could I achieve that? I am doing this because I think the language section has too much empty space on the right that I would like to avoid.

Then I am not good with tables and my plan was to have three reference contacts than two. Do you know the latex code to obtain that?

But how do I make some fields optional?

For instance: for some entries in Professional Experience I don't want to include tags or in Projects I don't want to provide the links. If I simply delete them that distorts the appearance.

Also, I can't find where are they defined, could you document what other logos are there: \faLaptop, \faBook, \faTasks, \faMortarBoard, \faCode, \faSuitcase, faGlobe, faPlus,...?

I'm having problems changing the font size in the document, I tried using a new copy of the overleaf template (https://www.overleaf.com/latex/templates/awesome-source-cv/wrdjtkkytqcw) and then adjusted it according to the example in the readme:

but nothing changes, also I get a new warning -> Unused global option(s): - ./cv.tex

I tried to search for removing page break in latex and changing the yaac-another-awesome-cv.cls file, but in vain. I want the empty space in page 1 to be used up by the first project instead of completely wasting that space and starting project details from page 2. Please help.

I tried to change \RequirePackage[english, chinese]{babel} in the yaac-another-awesome-cv file, but it doesn't work.

the following error appeared

[UPDATE] I found the answer to my question, there is a great collection of icons to be used here.

In documentMETADATA.cls at line 461 we can read: \textbf{#5} & \emph{#6} pour \textsc{#7}
the word "pour" is french and stand for "for", and not everyone write for french employer.
It should be suppressed or may be language dependent (automatic translation according input language) or defined by the user

adding \faLanguage doesnt render the icon as it was shown in other sample pdfs.

I was wondering how one would debug this issue. Where is faLanguage compiles to a icon?

Following are my initial questions: (a) I want to convert the font color of the entire document to black, how to do that ? I am able to do some part black.But, section titles and the personal details are still in blue. How to make this change ?, (b) also I want to remove various symbols at various section heading, how do I do that ?(c) also I want to suppress the box around webpage , e-mail id showing hyperlinks, how to do this ?
