There is one thing I noticed with the chat buttons that don't behave like Discord's own buttons. Clicking the chat button again while the expression tab in question is already opened should close the expression picker.

Just a really minor nitpick, only fix it if you can be bothered and want to.

There's all these cool features in the image, video, and audio tab, yeah? Such as holding shift to send multiple, or to upload/download other types of media.
I honestly would love to have these as functions on the normal GIF tab, and not just on the tabs that your plugin provides. Why isn't it ported to those yet? Or, is it an issue on my end? I do have latest version, along with latest stable Discord.

i recently had to reset discord (better discord as well) and i've lost all my saved media, question is where is that media stored (i tried the .json file and it didn't change anything)

I've been using this plugin for a while now and it just kinda broke out of nowhere
All of my favourites are gone and when I try favourite something the star doesn't colour in

adding this plugin hides some emojis, the same happens with stickers, gifs and other discord elements. Is it possible to fix it? I really like this plugin

The settings do not save properly. The icons always appear after a restart of Discord.

I'd love to see a tab for text, to store copypastas and the like, which i guess could just be the contents of whatever message you favorite (and you could favorite it via that message's dropdown menu, labeled "favorite text" or something of that nature, incase there's also an attatchment. This would also let you include links, so you could technically favorite not only a piece of media, but text to go with it.

As for the gif tab, i'd also love to see the option to disable giphy selection entirely. I honestly never use it, so instead of having to travel through a submenu, favorited gifs are right there in the first page of the gif tab.

Whenever I try to preview videos discord crashes every time

im on newest canary and i can still add to favorites but neither the tabs nor whats in themis showing. even when eanbling the button it just pulls up a empty non loading tab

and I remembered your plugin also needs to check for embed perms so I tested it really quick and it also runs into an error

I cannot click any of the icons anymore my discord just dies.

Hey, I think your plugin is really cool and I have a few suggestions on how it could be even cooler.

1. You could add an option to download the media to your computer so that if the original is deleted you can still use it.
2. Not sure if this is intended or a bug, but if you make a category and put something in it, it is still outside the category as well.
3. Dragging things into the category could be cool, but not really necessary lol.

Again, love the plugin, keep up the great work!

This one should be an easy fix/option:
The plugin is adding chat buttons on the of the emoji button, which is bad in my opinion because it automatically means it shifts around any buttons that are already there, meaning uses are forced to readjust and any muscle memory and stuff is gonna mess with them.
I'm gonna guess it was done that way because it means there is no gap in between the buttons that are used for expressions because of the gift button. But I would rather have them on the other side (and am hiding the gift button anyway).

The easy fix would be either having a config option to change this

I may or may not be a hoarder for files but I would like to either have a choice in how much I can save at a time or an increased limit in general. thanks man

It would be nice if we could create categories in discords normal favorite gifs section.

When you want to put one gif as a favorite on the right side of the box, The favorite button is outside of the frame.

can you make FavoriteMedia compatible with Discord Dark By SyndiShanX ? there are no icons with theme enabled

I think this is a result of adding shift to not close somehow, but I doubt this is intended. I personally like it but just wanted to let you know.

It would make this plugin so much more effective if the user had the ability to either create a category from the context menu or to send media to an already made category via the context menu.

Instead of having to open up the FavoriteMedia window to add media to a category, one could do it right from the start via a context menu option brought up on the initial media being favorited. The same would go for creating a category, (ex. Right click an image -> Add to Favorites -> Create Category or add to an already made category.)

This would save time for the user having to favorite a piece of media then having to open the favoritemedia window and creating categories and sorting favorited media.

Also, side request if possible, the ability to have the FavortieMedia Window pop out to be it's own window instead of a sub window within the discord app. Kind of how we can pop out videos from people who are streaming within discord. This would allow for easier viewing of favorited media for users with a lot of favorited material for sorting purposes and reviewing. Currently the FavortieMedia sub-window is only able to be expanded horizontally.

Thanks for this awesome plugin, currently my most used.

When clicking the original buttons the tab doesn't need to reload, it just changes betweet them.
When clicking the image and video buttons the entire tab disapears and appears again and that seems to cause some problems (end of the video)

I don't know if it was an update to discord or a different plugin but the newest feature allowing us to move an image/video/audio to a created category from within the context menu has disappeared.

Hello every time i try to open FavoriteMedia it it just crashes, i tryied by installing it again or better discord too and nothing semes to help. i dont know what more to do you think you could help me?

This plugin used to work properly, but one day after a Discord Canary update (I use Canary because it's the version that's a Universal app on macOS), I started getting this error message every time I open Discord, and it has been appearing since.

Discord Canary version 0.0.279, macOS 12.1, Apple M1 MacBook Air (2020).

Noticed a bug occurring today, where usually you can right-click any images or videos from the menu to upload them manually rather than sending a link. It no longer lets you right-click anything, and the context menu stays on top of the screen even if you click somewhere else.

Discord crashes when having a FavoriteMedia tab open and pressing alt+down/up (used to navigate through channels)

If I am trying to upload multiple images or videos or whatever its really annoying to open it and have to scroll all the way down everytime. If an option/setting to keep the panel open was added that would be greatly appreciated.

The plugin favoritemedia is awesome, but that could be great to let us create category for gif too

BetterDiscord is crashing and I have decided that I should delete all my plug-ins and reinstall BetterDiscord. Before I do that, I want to save the videos, images, etc. that I have favorited using this plug-in.

Can I find the files saved to my computer somewhere? (I'm guessing not)

Is there a file(s) that saves the data in a way that if I deleted the plug-in, I could keep my favorited media favorited on Discord itself?

And finally. If I delete the plug-in does the favorited media remain favorited somehow? (I'm guessing that's a no)

If anyone knows what I can do to save or keep my favorited media please tell me.

I gotta be straight with you, I'll only really use the favorite image options of the plugin, even if it's still cool that it also supports other media types. The thing is, I can remove the Chat buttons and the Settings tabs but there is no option to hide the add to "Add to Favorites" button form videos or soundfiles. It would be nice if that was added as an option.

When "Show only favorites in GIFs" option is enabled, you can't go back from the favorites category and you can't search for gifs manually

Current workaround is to use /tenor query command but this limits search results to 10 gifs

as of the 12/01/21 update, video, image, and audio appear completely empty and have no search bar.
