As a Developer, I want to have "awesome" pages per subject so we can promote our existing "core" datasets on the web.

As a User, I want to be able to find datasets by theme via search engines so I can arrive at datahub and find all I need in one place.

Acceptance criteria

• all "core" datasets have a theme
• all themes have a page
• all pages have a reviewed content

Tasks

• go through the list of "core" datasets and assign a theme for each of them
• create a page for each theme
• write an intro paragraph for each theme
  • get reviewed
  • improve
• create short content for each theme and link to the datasets

Analysis

Possible subjects:

• economic data: gdp, cpi, population, employment etc.
• environmental or climate data: global temparature, co2-ppm etc.
• geographic data: country list, country codes, airport codes
• reference data: country list, all various codes (language codes etc)
• stock market data: finance-vix, s-and-p-500, nasdaq etc.
• medicine data ? e.g., we have pharmaceutical-drug-spending and genome-sequencing-costs

As a User who's interested in "Economic data", I want to have one page that consolidates and describes all related datasets from DataHub so I can easily and pleasantly find datasets for my use.

As the DataHub team, we want to create "Economic data" page so we can attract traffic via search engines and provide great content for our users.

Acceptance criteria

• a thoroughly reviewed page about available "Economic data" on DataHub at /awesome/economic-data

Tasks

• draft a structure of the page
• write an introduction for the page
• go through the list of "core" datasets and identify which ones can be in "economic data" theme
• draft a content
• get a review from the team
• improve per reviews
• publish!

As a User, I want the homepage to contain just a table of contents so that:

• I can easily and quickly select a topic of my interest and go to the specific page without scrolling and reading other topics.
• it is less confusing and simple to understand.

As a Developer, I want to have a straightforward structure of the awesome pages so that it is quicker and easier to add new pages. E.g., there is only one way to do it: I create a MD file and link to it from homepage.

Acceptance criteria

• homepage is a simple table of content that links to specific awesome pages
• all existing content on the homepage is moved to its own pages

Tasks

• move machine learning, inflation, property prices, wealth income and inequality sections to their own pages
• remove all extra content from homepage
• create hand made table of content

Tasks

• Review existing datasets in that group and identify those that are still extant
• Create an awesome page for linked data and add relevant datasets verbatim (i.e. copy over relevant information)

We want to have a separate page for climate change.

Acceptance criteria

• climate change is accessible on https://datahub.io/awesome/climate-change

Tasks

• create climate-change.md page and add title and description into front matters and move content.
• add link to the main page.
