pok3r-layouts's Issues

2 Fn keys needed

As far as I know the only way to get 2 Fn keys is by flipping Dip 3 which turns Caps Lock to Fn.
However, Dip 4 position swap doesn't work for this key. I'm an Emacs user that absolutely needs this key as Ctrl.
Basically I want both the left Ctrl and the original Fn to work as Fn. (If Pn layer is programmable I can work around this problem. Damn...)
Any idea how to achieve this?

Different layer colors

Hey folks!
I'm not sure if it is an issue with this repo documentation or it is my local, but my pok3r rgb has opposite layers to:

Windows: Layer 2 (blue LED), switch to it with: FN + ,<
OSX: Layer 3 (red LED), switch with: FN + .>

I've bought it recently, maybe manufacturer changed it? It is not critical, just a bit confusing for total newbie :)

Reassigning the capslock not working

First of all, thank you for this layout guide. I've used it for a while, and it's been a great help.

I'm confused about and having trouble with the capslock as ctrl reassignment. I use Pok3r with a mac, and the problem I'm having is that I'm unable to reassign the capslock to ctrl and vice versa without using the keyboard "modifier keys" settings in the osx settings.

I've followed the guide here that says:

CapsLock always as Ctrl:

  • CapsLock then: L_Ctrl then: PN to confirm
  • FN + CapsLock then: L_Ctrl then: PN to confirm

And it doesn't seem to work.

One thing that's been bothering me as well is understanding how to interpret these instructions given that the L_Ctrl has already been assigned to FN in the previous step of the OSX directions. I wonder if confusion there is causing the reassignment of Ctrl to CapsLock not to work for me.

OSX Media Buttons

from https://gist.github.com/cam8001/8da5fb2ffb3400ce196f30d2c889cd96:
Note: there is a comment in that gist saying that the latest Sierra broke the media keys but either that has been rectified or did not affect US keyboard layout because those bindings worked just fine for me today.

In the case that one wants these to be bound to the same function keys they normally are bound to
these are written standard to new
Media keys

    Previous: Fn + Q -> Fn + 7
    Next: Fn + E -> Fn + 9
    Play/Pause: Fn + W -> Fn + 8
    Mute: Fn + F -> Fn + 10
    Vol Down: Fn + S -> Fn + 11
    Vol Up: Fn + D -> Fn + 12
