This paper has some good notes on how other implementations work.

I've got a playground that uses a struct with a sign enum and an [Int], but it operates in base-10 land, which may be a limiting factor in speed.

Right now, I have kicker setup to auto-commit any file changes to this git repo on the auto-commit branch. It creates a lot of noise.

It would be nice to come up with a better workflow to merge those edits back into the master branch without bringing hundreds of commits along with it while keeping things simple.
