Two Clicks!

I have my game setup so that the clicks to compare cards are two separate functions. And then I have the 'class' of the event.target setup as a separate variable so I can compare the two but for some reason it won't work and I've been debugging it for a while now...

"If else" statement only wants to "If"

I have an "if else" statement in my code that basically says if the user clicks one card one thing should be done, if the user clicks another card another thing should be done. Easy enough. But it's not happening.

I've deferred all my clicks to the console log. Everything I click is console logging what should only be shown for the "if" statement, but when I asked it to console log the event.target, it's showing the correct target is being clicked.

I've seriously been at this since 5 this morning. I've checked and double checked everything. Please help :(
