Companies are not assigning production bonuses

User quote:

"I realized that companies (specifically air in this case) weren't giving the bonuses to the newly added equipment (such as FIghter Bombers) After some digging I was able to fix the issue by moving 'r56e_traits.txt' from 'common\country_leader\replace' to 'common\country_leader' and renaming it to '00_r56e_traits.txt'"

This issue, if true, may need to be checked across 56 for all similar cases.

Many files have poorly written code

This is a maintenance thing, but most of the old content was written poorly by various authors and is not up to standard. This needs to be done file by file, and will be tedious as hell.

Fascists March on Shanghai

User Comment:

Event ID = political.21
No referendum was held, yet there was a civil war anyways. The Fascist party, Blueshirts, had 78% support, and I was planning on making the swap to Fascism using the referendum Decision. However, I didn't have the opportunity, and so a civil war started more or less unheard of. This may be a part of how things work with the new DLC (forcing the player to use the Decision immediately when possible), or it might be a bug. Unsure if big, but likely easy to replicate. Loading to previous save file, as this is something that would normally be avoided had I known it was possible.

Many files do not have AI implemented properly or consistently

This is an old issue, due to the fact that many mod authors did not add AI or did it poorly. At some point it needs to be systematically updated:

  1. With standard 4/1 values - with historical options being four times as likely as ahistorical ones.
  2. Making sure the historical trigger check is present for all relevant focuses and events
  3. Using the Sanity triggers for warmaking focuses and events

Cavalry Defense map animation

User Quote:

So far there are at least two cases where defending Cavalry divisions showcase an attacking animation, swords raised and galloping toward the enemy. In one case they were attacking before they were defending, so it kind of made sense bug-wise, its the sort of thing that I would expect to see in vanilla but never bother reporting. The second time they were only ever defending, so there is an accompanying screenshot since it has proven to be recurring.

Greece can't restore Byzantium

User quote:

Playing as Greece and trying to restore Byzantium, I can't actually activate the decision, as the interface claims that I don't control all Yugoslav states even though I'm almost absolutely certain that I do. Have I missed something, or is this actually a bug?

General stats and balance with 1.5.1

in 1.5.0 generals got 2 skill points with each levels. With 1.5.1 they receive 3. Does it mean that all the starting generals above level 1 should be stronger?

Germany civil war needs to be redone

Germany spawns with 3 national spirits, Bitter loser, whatever the second one is, and the Lebensraum one, while attempting to restore the kaiserreich, only the Lebensraum spirit is supposed to be removed, but if the civil war happens, then you lose all of your national spirits you got by going through the focus tree.

Please fix it, every time I attempt to restore the kaiserreich, I have to pray to jesus that I get fall of the nazis, else my run is usually destroyed by losing all of the boosts from whatever national spirits I've annexed from the focus tree.
That's at least a full year Allowing the non-aligned support to run its full course + 210 The three focuses if I remember correctly is 35 days +70 days + 105 days days of wasted time which wouldn't be wasted if the national spirits weren't erased upon the outbreak of civil war

Use portraits for people without a dlc

We can rarely compete with pdx in terms of portrait quality, so I suggest to use pdx portrait first and ours only when there is no pdx equivalent (or if he is truly better). That being said I wouldn't make the making of portraits covered in dlcs a priority.

Offensive + Defensive war for War Support (China)

War Support is receiving a -20% value due to Offensive War while also receiving a +30% value due to Defensive War. At this moment, I am only at war with Japan + puppets in a single Defensive War, and have not been in a war prior to this.

France is going Communist in the early game

France is going Communist frequently very early in the game, well before it could have gone that route in the focus tree - and sometimes even when it has gone a contradictory route.

Issue with the Burma Road

The "Improve The Burma Road" focus has very specific and very odd requirements, due to this I have yet to either see the AI make use of it or have the chance to use it myself. I have finished multiple China campaigns to completion (well, I stop after I take over the mainland against Japan and annex the Soviet Union), and I have yet to see it as a feasible possibility. Now there is even a Decision for it, but it will most likely be just as unobtainable.

Soviet bad event call in focus

French naval advisors problems

You can't have a chief of the navy if you are not free france (the old ones were forgotten)
Emile muselier is both in the high command and as chief of the army. Not a huge problem but for the high command version you can't have himself in the that section while it should target the chief of the navy version.

Soviet Union has multiple civil wars

Warlord Cliques should explain bonus system

African flags are really bad

We need to replace and update the flags. They were only ever intended as placeholders, but never got updated.

Fu Zuoyi 24/72 Army Division limit

I gave him an additional 3 divisions to put him at 27, to see if it would auto-correct itself when the game logged him as having more than 24 - what SHOULD be his natural limit - bug there is no visual indicator that it isn't working as advertised. Will attempt to commit him to combat and see if it holds true.
Addendum 1: There is no visible penalty to his troops' combat modifier due to army limit excess. His limit appears to hold true, as advertised.

May apply to other generals and be related to the need to update generals.

More focuses should be required for attacking italy

I remember in Germany NF you can just have one of the preparation focus and go to war focus. Is this change intentional and if yes please make 'kick Italy out of Axis' not essential for war with Italy or be able to bypass if Italy is not in same faction. Italy wont join my faction when I am democratic but I can't declare war or justify them.

Content redundancies from WTT

There are multiple instances of duplicate events, alliances, generals, ideas, etc due to features from 56 and vanilla running simultaneously. This will likely be broken down as different listed issues.

Invisible Enemy Division Icons

User Quote:

For some reason, became unable to see division icons for Japan, which made the prospect of war troubling. Reloading the save did nothing, but restarting the game entirely fixed the issue. The bug also applied to Guangxi Clique, as I had previously declared war on them for a hypothetical "what-if" before reloading that save (taking place before the war against Japan, but I reloaded to before it happened). Assuming that this would have applied to all nations, but didn't think to check before I restarted the game. Unsure of parameters necessary to replicate.

Addendum 1: Issue replicated, current hypothesis is that it occurs when loading a save without restarting the game.

Addendum 1.1: I alt-tabbed back into the game, and by the time I finished typing up Addendum 1, it started working as intended with no issue. This did not occur the first time the bug showed, as I had tabbed in and out several times. I am confused, but leaving the note as-is.

Addendum 1.2: Bug has not been replicated since those two occurrences.

There are numerous broken focus references in the game

Initially 450+, down to about 80 now. Due to content conflicts, vanilla looking for trees that no longer exist, etc. Many of these last ones need to be examined individually for their flags / checks / etc to see all effects involved.

Various decisions are broken

Decisions in various countries are broken due to missing content from vanilla, such as focuses, flags, variables, etc. This will be broken down into different reports as they are found.

Division retreats, but is still fighting.

User quote:

An infantry division was retreated from a battle to regain organization. When the division arrived to the neighboring region, they were still slated as being a reinforcement for the same battle, happening 1 region away. Currently ordering them to retreat to a different region, but still within 1 region distance to the battle.

Addendum 1: The battle ended before I could thoroughly test the issue (it was going on for a month previously though, so thanks Japan :/). I was going to see if the issue would persist if they were still within 1 region distance, and if it might go away if they were moved to 2 region distance. Might be replicable, or it might have been an odd, quirky bug that happens very rarely under specific circumstance. However, successful screenshot showcasing that they are slotted as a reinforcement for combat.

Addendum 4: I managed to get it to happen again, and this time the main battle continued, but the spot that they were showcased as attacking from was different when the bug ceased; likely due to one of the original attacking units being removed from the battled (due to organization drop or halt order). I think that if the original combatants from the enemy side stop the attack, even if the battle as a whole continues, then the "defending" retreated soldiers will no longer be in combat. That is my hypothesis anyways, but I know 0% of the coding involved in this. I've done this kind of troop-swapping strategy extensively pre-DLC, I guarantee these exact circumstance have been repeated dozens and dozens of times, but it has never happened in the past ever. Its also worth noting that the majority of my game time
has been on 56 or a modified version of 56, so whatever this bug is, its a new issue.

Two United Fronts are able to form

It may be worth checking out Nationalist China in the new version. I created the United Front before the war with China by accepting a request from Mao. When I met with Li Zongren, he tried to convince me to form the exact same alliance with Mao I already had, which was odd but not gamebreaking. Finally, when the war began, the game tried to created the United Front again via event, which promptly kicked me out of the United Front I already created and placed me in a United Front of one; that was significantly more gamebreaking, as the game exiled half my armies and refused to allow support to my allies.

Soviet Support Event

There's an event that I didn't catch the ID on, it entails Soviet support for the war effort. It gives you the Support Equipment technology, the Type 24 & Stokes mortar technology and if I recall 2,500 rifles. Its worth noting that you already have both of those technologies on game start, so they don't need to be attached to the event. Potentially the event could give other technologies instead, but whether or not that's necessary is up to others.

TBF Avenger may be broken
