为了在**防火长城（The Great Firewall）的限制下，依然能够顺利地使用 Facebook、Twitter、YouTube、Google 等服务，我们花费大量时间研究**防火长城的运作方式，包括它封锁了什么？以何种方式进行封锁？借此，我们才能制定出有针对性的策略来突破这些封锁。

本书介绍的方法涵盖了 Shadowsocks 以及与 Shadowsocks 相关的各种插件，ShadowsocksR, ShadowsocksRR, V2ray，以及 Telegram 通讯软件的 Proxy。

Shadowsocks 是 ss 系列的封包传输基础，实现了加密型的 socks5 工具。许多插件则是对加密 socks5 流量进行重新包装，包括 hsimple-obfs, Cloak, gost, kcptun, mos-rand-tunnel, mos-tls-tunnel, v2ray-plugin, simple-tls, qtun, Trojan，这些插件都必须符合 SIP003（Shadowsocks 的改进协议）才能兼容。
