Installation

You can install Dependents via Package Control.

Don't see it? Try reinstalling Package Control. Alternatively, add the repository and install it:

1. Package Control -> Add Repository
2. Enter https://github.com/dependents/Dependents
3. Package Control -> Install Package
4. Choose Dependents

Nodejs Dependency

You must have Node.js installed on your system. Anything v0.10 and above is fine.

• Note: The Node.js windows installer will add the install directory to the PATH variable but you must reboot to reload it.

NVM Users

NVM will install Nodejs outside of the standard binary location. If you encounter an error where your Node executable cannot be found, please override the node_path in User settings:

• Preferences -> Package Settings -> Dependents -> Settings - User

• This will allow Dependents to find the Node binary for every codebase

Bindings

To more swiftly and conveniently trigger the package's commands both key and mouse bindings are provided.

Key bindings

By default, the following key bindings have been supplied:

OSX:

• Jump to dependency: Command + Option + Right arrow
• Find Dependents: Command + Option + Up arrow
• Copy path to clipboard: Command + Shift + C

Windows and Linux:

• Jump to dependency: Ctrl + Shift + Down arrow
• Find Dependents: Ctrl + Shift + Up arrow

Mouse bindings

By default, the following key bindings have been supplied:

OSX:

• Jump to dependency: Command + Option + Click on the dependency item
• Find Dependents: Command + Shift + Click anywhere in document

Windows and Linux:

• Jump to dependency: Ctrl + Alt + Click on the dependency item
• Find Dependents: Ctrl + Shift + Click anywhere in document

Reporting an issue

You can get console logs via View -> Show Console.

Paste those logs into the body of your issue.

fix: values

Also pick up references images, etc.

PostCSS loops

Such as:

Upgrade to the latest `postcss-values-parser`

The following warning is printed by npm install node-detective-postcss:

npm WARN deprecated [email protected]: I wrote this module a very long time ago; you should use something else

This is due to postcss-values-parser and was fixed by [email protected]. Would it be possible to upgrade this dependency? Thanks!

Exit gracefully on broken CSS

Such as:

Fix License

The license file here is MIT, but in package.json and README.md Apache-2.0 is mentioned.

Next release?

We are encountering this error with node v18 in CI via our precinct v9.0.1 dependency error [email protected]: The engine "node" is incompatible with this module. Expected version "12.x || 14.x || 16.x". Got "18.2.0". This commit would fix it but it hasn't been released yet. Any plans of having the next release out soon?

Is postcss-values-parser.d.ts needed?

@joscha I was wondering if https://github.com/dependents/node-detective-postcss/blob/master/src/postcss-values-parser.d.ts is still needed? AFAICT postcss-values-parser has TypeScript definitions: https://github.com/shellscape/postcss-values-parser/blob/master/lib/index.d.ts.

Action required: Greenkeeper could not be activated 🚨

🚨 You need to enable Continuous Integration on all branches of this repository. 🚨

To enable Greenkeeper, you need to make sure that a commit status is reported on all branches. This is required by Greenkeeper because it uses your CI build statuses to figure out when to notify you about breaking changes.

Since we didn’t receive a CI status on the greenkeeper/initial branch, it’s possible that you don’t have CI set up yet. We recommend using Travis CI, but Greenkeeper will work with every other CI service as well.

If you have already set up a CI for this repository, you might need to check how it’s configured. Make sure it is set to run on all new branches. If you don’t want it to run on absolutely every branch, you can whitelist branches starting with greenkeeper/.

Once you have installed and configured CI on this repository correctly, you’ll need to re-trigger Greenkeeper’s initial pull request. To do this, please delete the greenkeeper/initial branch in this repository, and then remove and re-add this repository to the Greenkeeper App’s white list on Github. You'll find this list on your repo or organization’s settings page, under Installed GitHub Apps.

release v5.1.2 to loosen node version restriction

Currently the version v5.1.1 don't allow node v18, so install fails on that node version.

So please release a bugfix with will allow any node version >= 16.0.0
