Magisim project banner

Description

Magisim is a versatile simulation hub that brings together individual computational algorithms through an interactive graphical user interface. It is designed to be hosted on a server, allowing multiple users to access it simultaneously. This makes Magisim an affordable and powerful tool for educational environments.

The primary goal of this project is to democratize access to high-cost simulation tools, particularly for electromagnetic and other physical simulations. Magisim is designed for hobbyists, amateurs, and individuals who want to learn about these physical phenomena by visualizing and analyzing different aspects of simulations.

magisim's Issues

NodeManager integration

The NodeManager is a central and foundational component of Magisim, enabling users to connect and orchestrate computational algorithms through an intuitive graphical interface. It's the heart of our project, and it empowers users to perform simulations, visualize results, post-process data, and conduct in-depth analyses.

However, we've encountered a challenge - our current NodeManager relies on litegraph.js, which is not fully compatible with Gradio, a vital tool for enhancing user interactivity. As a result, we're facing limitations in delivering the seamless and interactive experience we aim to provide.

To overcome this challenge and unlock the full potential of Magisim, we need to explore integration options for NodeManager. One possible approach is to implement the integration by leveraging existing Gradio API calls, which can provide a bridge between NodeManager and Gradio's interactive features. Alternatively, we can consider developing new endpoints using FastAPI, a powerful Python web framework, to facilitate efficient communication and data exchange between NodeManager and Gradio.

This issue is of paramount importance, as it directly impacts Magisim's usability and educational value. The successful integration of NodeManager with Gradio will significantly enhance the project's functionality, making it an invaluable tool for educational environments, hobbyists, and enthusiasts looking to explore and learn about various physical phenomena through simulations and visualization.
