We want your help in including more awesome Distributed Systems blogs to https://diff.blog.

As you probably know, https://diff.blog is an aggregator of developer and software engineering blogs. We already have a lot of distributed systems blogs, but we would like to index even more.

Your task is to find awesome distributed systems blogs on the Internet and create a PR to include it in distributed systems blogs list. The file contains a bunch of blogs as examples.

I would be updating the https://diff.blog crawler to include the newly added blogs after the PR is merged.

🚀 Tips on finding awesome distributed systems blogs

One obvious way would be to search in Google. For example https://www.google.com/search?channel=fs&client=ubuntu&q=awesome+distributed+systems+blogs

You can also try searching in sites like Hacker News for Distributed Systems to see which all blogs come up there a lot. eg:

https://hn.algolia.com/?q=distributed+systems

It's totally up to you to find the blogs . Just make sure it is awesome :)

✅ Criteria

Before creating the PR make sure that

• The blog is not present in the distributed systems blogs list.
• The author/blog has a GitHub account.
• Make sure that the blog is not already included in https://diff.blog. You can check this easily by visiting https://diff.blog/github_username. eg: https://diff.blog/ept/

As you probably know, https://diff.blog is an aggregator of developer and software engineering blogs. We already have a lot of software engineering blogs, but we would like to index even more.

Your task is to find awesome software engineering blogs on the Internet and create a Pull Request to include it in the software engineering blogs list. The file contains a bunch of blogs as examples.

I would be updating the https://diff.blog crawler to include the newly added blogs after the Pull Request is merged.

If you want to add your own personal blog, please do that by going to https://diff.blog. Don't create a Pull Request for that.

You can looks at sites like Hacker News to see which blogs get featured there a lot

You can even go through lists like https://github.com/kilimchoi/engineering-blogs to find cool software engineering blogs

It's totally up to you to find the blogs . Just make sure it is awesome :)

✅ Criteria

Before creating the PR make sure that

• The blog is not present in the software engineering blogs list.
• The author/blog has a GitHub account.
• Make sure that the blog is not already included in https://diff.blog. You can check this easily by visiting https://diff.blog/github_username. eg: https://diff.blog/rust-lang/

How to edit the file

You need to add the blog entry in this format. See the example below if the format looks confusing.

 "Github username": [
        "URL of the blog",
        [
            "Category 1",
            "Category 2",
            "Category 3",
            "...",
            "...",
            "...",
            "Category N"
        ]
    ]

Make sure that the category is present in this list.

For example, to add the Aribnb Software Engineering blog you need to add an entry like this

 "airbnb": [
        "https://medium.com/airbnb-engineering",
        [
            "Distributed Systems",
            "Machine Learning",
            "Web Development",
            "Design",
            "App Development",
            "Data Science",
            "Engineering Team Blogs"
        ]
    ]
