Add ability to check for updates, preview changelog, download and install update.

I realize this would be a big update but, it would be nice if knowte could edit any text file and perhaps have highlighting for code and space tabing. This might end up being another program but I would love a text editor in the same style as the rest of digimezzo programs.

Next to export to Note and RTF, also provide export to PDF.

Steps to reproduce:

• connect a laptop to an external monitor which is on the right of the laptop panel
• open Knowte and drag a note to the external monitor
• close knowte
• move the external monitor to the left of the laptop panel
• open Knowte and open the same note again

=> the note is not visible, because it is opened on the coordinates of a monitor that does not exist.

When using Knowte on a computer which is accessed by remote desktop, the shadow of the windows is not displayed (this is due to the performance settings in Windows).

In such case, the window border should be more visible.

This can happen when a xaml file is missing (due to a copy problem). Logging was added, but there is no warning for the user.

It should be possible to drag a note to an notebook to add or move it to that notebook.

Add an option to save notes somewhere else.

Similar to the one of Dopamine.
If should provide new users an easy way of choosing the storage location of the notes.

Export to note and rtf should be handled in a try catch block and notify the user when exporting failed.

The default chinese font display is not good. Thank you.

In case that someone needs this

Pressing Tab with the cursor in the Note title does not move the cursor to the Note contents as one would intuitively expect.
Current behaviour:
With the cursor in the title, one press of Tab makes the search active, as you can see by pressing space, the search bar appears and disappears quickly.
Two presses of Tab does not activate the cursor in the content area, it highlights another hidden UI control I think.
Three presses of Tab with the cursor in title highlights the controls in the toolbar at the bottom of note.
Eventually the content area is activated with 19 presses of Tab or a single press of Tab and a single down arrow.

Add an option to display exact note date instead of fuzzy dates. Some users prefer fuzzy dates, others prefer to see the exact date of a note.

Additionally, it might be useful to split up the fuzzy date "Long ago". Some ideas:

It should be possible to have multiple directories containing notes and notebooks, and to switch between them. This would allow have e.g. work and home notes on 1 computer, but add possibility to switch between them.

In advanced settings there some strings left untranslated.
But I have checked Zh-CN.xml. It should not happen as I have handled all strings you gave.

Why didn't we think of this before?

It should be possible to easily create a full backup of all notes and to restore that backup.

When a notebook is selected, a new note should be created in that notebook. This used to work and is probably a bug.

It should be possible to select multiple notes at once for:

• Mass dragging to notebooks
• Mass deleting

how can I make a backup with a portable version?????????????????????????? I can only find the button to input backup but can't find the button to output backup！！！！！！！CRAZY！
