Hello 👋

Hey, I'm Matthew Yu, an Electrical and Computer Engineering student at the University of Texas at Austin. My focus is on embedded systems, but I like to take detours and have worked with everything from web development to generative art.

I was a software intern at Cisco (Summer 2019), Qualcomm (Summer 2020, 2021), and Relativity Space (Fall 2020). I'm currently interning at Apple for Summer 2022 as a hardware intern. I've also TA'd for my embedded systems lab course under Professors Mark McDermott and Jonathan Valvano in Fall 2021 and Spring 2022, and will do so again for Fall 2022.

I have been and still am a passionate and active member in several UT organizations, including:

• Texas Rocket Engineering Lab
• IEEE Robotics and Automation Society

I'm currently working towards graduating with a Master's degree in embedded systems in Fall 2023, but am also looking for great opportunities to be close to hardware, building tangible, sustainable, and helpful devices and experiences for other humans.

generative_art's Issues

feature: Gallery expanders and Split markdown fragments

• Plan to split markdown files (like G003, henon strange attractor) into multiple files
• Put the images into a specific key pair in the sections.json (as well as additional locations for multiple md files)
• Be able to create React Photo Gallery from the image sets and display in order like so:

dev - visual changes and improvements

Besides core (integrating index.html react app with the independent static pages), there are several aesthetic fixes:

• latex lines: needs proper spacing between paragraphs
• image galleries: needs css styling to override markdown-body img background coloring (currently white)
• carbon iframes: decided whether to switch to pure image or fix view size (too much white space and the frame itself is too small)
• headers (H3 and up) should have an extra <hr> if not already
• check for grammatical errors
• possibly css styling for footer

Documentation

Make documentation on an established procedure to add a new generative art program/update existing programs.

Proposed to put it in root level README.md.
