If I add widget to the sidebar it doesn't appear on any pages that use the Gallery Page template

Edit: turns out somehow my PHP version got changed on my hosting and that was causing the issue. Sorry about this.

Progress bar when uploading album images appear too long as compared to its container.

From time to time I'm getting this error.

Had a client uploading large images (4267 × 2908 @ 246kb). While they worked on desktop, when viewing the site on mobile devices, the images wouldn't load, as if it was a 404 with only the alt being visible.

Any idea if there's an easy fix for this, shy of re-uploading images in smaller dimensions?

Galleries displayed from Page type "Gallery page" with an anchor (eg www.site.com/galleries#galleryname. This duplicates content for each gallerie that is also accessible via eg Home page (www.site.com/) and Masonery gallery page (www.site.com/gallery/galleryname).

I'm currently working on a solution that would avoid all these duplicate contents.

• Canonical URL won't work because well, anchors aren't page and don't get an individual URL.
• Displaying galleries via Masonery gallery page only would removes most of duplicates. But we'll loose the submenu that displays galleries' names in the menu like below the Page of type "Gallery page".

Would be great to hear on the solutions you're workin on or found out.

However, the specific license (GPL v3, v2 etc) is not specified. Can this be added to a LICENSE file in the root of the theme?

Hello, i noticed an image scale types big issue.
It's not working anymore when you change the scale inside the gallery mode, for each different pictures.
If anyone have an idea to fix this, i still love this template and want to keep using it :)

Hi would try to add thumbnails on gallery template, is there someone who try to do that?
i think than i must take template from the royal slider and add some propertie with a auto-hide / false thumbnail like navigation.

I'm trying to implement in the settings metabox (in each gallery) a new option to override the "Auto-open project description" in the gallery theme options. I was well succeed but only acessing the galleries by the gallery permalink.

The implementation i made, yet, does not work accessing the galleries by the link gallery categories... I put the code in my fork. Can anyone put this option working also with the categories links?

I have recently added SSL to my sites. This theme has an issue where it returns HTTP URLs instead of HTTPS urls, causing the site to be marked as partially secured.

Here are the issues I encountered:

1. Google Font URL is non HTTPS

2. An image with an insecure url of "/wp-content/themes/portfolio/img/touchfolio-sprite-default.png" was loaded via the javascript file: /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 on line 2. The insecure URL may not be directly contained in the script file and may exist elsewhere.

3. An image with an insecure url of /wp-content/themes/portfolio/img/preloader.gif" was loaded via the javascript file: /wp-includes/js/jquery/jquery.js?ver=1.12.4 on line 2. The insecure URL may not be directly contained in the script file and may exist elsewhere.

Hello I like your theme here just I cannot get the galleries to show up on my site like there supposed to on your site and some other ones I seen using this theme. I followed through your video several times and I am pretty sure I am getting everything but I must be missing a step here and there.

Any help would be great!

I set up the Touchfolio for personal use. I do a lot of video work so many links are embedded videos from vimeo.
The problem i'm having is that only the 3 first videos i embed work, the rest of the videos i embed return to the same 3 videos.
For instance, i made 26 videos, one for each letter of the alphabet (http://www.danielemanoli.com/gallery/a-z-of-tiny-blips-short-clips/). Now, A,B & C work, but when i click on D, it links back to the video of A...

I would like to:

• Display my posts on my homepage like I do with the galleries ( masonry). A thumbnail with an excerpt.
• Display my posts masonry style on a category or a sub category.

So....
Is this "content-ds-gallery.php" the only page I have to change or is it more complex than that ?

Upgraded to Wordpress 5.2.2. My site works fine and can still see the Touchfolio content, but the WordPress dashboard has stopped working so I cannot make any change, add content, etc.

This is a multisite WordPress deployment and initially I had issues with some pluggins so that none of the sites worked. I have since resolved those issues so that two of the 3 sites work as before. Touchfolio has the issue above. When I manually change out the Theme to something else, everything works fine. So I believe it is an issue with the Theme itself.

It's only display the full post. Anyone had the same problem?

I'm having an issue with the menu as the galleries don't show up on mobile.

Images that I upload will not appear in the gallery or in image section of a new gallery page but instead a small box appears with the image of an image file in the center.

The upload process seems to work fine but the images will not appear. I am following the Touchfolio Free WordPress Theme - Installation and Usage video and have stopped at the 2:54 mark.

Also when I click on the edit image button of the image in the Media library I can see the image there.

Also when I right click on the image in the project it belongs to and click open image in a new tab I get the following error message:

You don't have permission to access /wp-content/uploads/2014/01/2.jpg on this server.

In the theme if you use the arrow keys, or the arrows on the sides of the images in the gallery it will skip from the last image in a gallery to the first image in a next gallery. Is there anyway to have it cycle back to the begging of the gallery instead? I have built a menu for moving between galleries.

When adding images on an album, they are automatically added at the end of the list.
Is anyone have an idea how to make it reversed : when adding an image, having it displayed in first position of the album ?

Hi! Touchfolio looks great - I'm actually interested in using it just for the clean and simple blog layout.

However, I'm setting up a group blog and need support for author info, ideally at the bottom of each post (ie About The Author, then display their standard wordpress user avatar and description), and in an authors page (ie, mysite.com/authors/myuser which basically displays the same avatar and description info, with a list of that author's posts).

Any chance this is on the roadmap for Touchfolio? If not, would it be accepted as a contribution?

For some reason, I got issue on IOS devices that won't allow me to zoom out the gallery images after I zoomed them in.

I've found scripts in /js/main.js that says 'A fix for the iOS orientationchange zoom bug' but I'm not sure if it's really the fix on my issue.

Any idea on this bug?

I'm not sure if this is even technically possible, however, it would be really nice to be able to have unique urls for each image that you navigate to. Right now you can only link someone to the specific project, but if you wanted to show someone a specific image from that portfolio you would be unable to.

For contributing without code format trouble it would be great if the repo contains some format guidelines like EditorConfig or JSHint.

However, for a better experience on mobile devise, I use a little code to hide the URL.
Its working on blog pages, regular pages but not on gallery pages. Do you have an idea for making this working?

On Wordpress 4.9 I get the following warning:

<b>Warning</b>: count(): Parameter must be an array or an object that implements Countable in <b>/var/www/vhost/cosmic.es/home/html/wp-content/themes/touchfolio/admin/medialibrary-uploader.php</b> on line <b>125</b><br />

This has some implications/errors on backend, like for example, you can't add new Themes etc.

To fix that, you have to change line 125 of admin/medialibrary-uploader.php to:

if ( count( array($_posts) ) ) {

On the file:
ds-gallery-categories-navigation-template.php
line 16 there is a <? open tag that (at least in my instalation) does not get correctly rendered.

Changing that to <?php solves the issue.

Maybe someone else runs into this specific problem.

In short, try this:

• Switch from http to https on both variables in your wordpress configuration
  

• Install the WP-Less plugin. It's a more recent version than the version that is delivered with Touchfolio. That threw me another error about a not defined variable: @menu-font-color (E.g. @menu-font-color: #999;)
  

So I defined it in style-touchfolio-default.less an voilá, my site is available via https and http

Long story: I recently installed the old Touchfolio theme for Wordpress and ran into one problem. The site was only available without SSL. After two days I told wordpress to be accessible via https set the two URL variables. Now the site was accessible via SSL, BUT http didn't work anymore. The result was the same white screen as before the change. So I dug into it deeper, turned debug on and found out there was some problem with the lesscompiler (whatever that is ...) and googled the error message to find out there is a WP-Less plugin. So I installed it and after another error message (above) I finally solved my problem and it saved me three days of polishing the theme to my liking. Pew!

If you add image descriptions to your album items (WP media description field) the text appears in the left top corner. Great! But it only works for the first three images in a gallery. The fourth item will get the image description of the first one.

This is a known bug described at http://support.dimsemenov.com/forums/159023-touchfolio/suggestions/3102387-problem-with-project-description-box and http://support.dimsemenov.com/forums/159023-touchfolio/suggestions/3719785-bug-on-gallery-descriptions-inside-a-gallery-categ.

The problem is this: If the description box for a gallery is open (whether defaulted that way or after clicking it) and you navigate to another gallery within the same category, but NOT the next one or previous one, the description will remain open and keep displaying the old information. If you navigate to an adjacent gallery this description closes/updates properly. I don't know enough javascript to tackle this so I'm looking for help here.

To reproduce:

2. Click on the "Facebook App: Samsung Galaxy" link in the lower right corner
3. Click the "wedding: Annie + Ryan" link in the left nav
   The description for the Facebook project stays there even when the wedding site is displayed.

I have looked at some other sites from this list http://support.dimsemenov.com/forums/159023-touchfolio/suggestions/3208128-touchfolio-showcase-post-your-site-here-big-lis, and I have not found any yet that do not have this problem.

Hi Everyone !!

At the beginning i would like to say that i'm new in here and I'm not sure if it is correct place to put my issue but I need some clue how to resolve thing that is bugs me out.

When I add some text via WordpressText editor to a gallery description It looks ok. I can apply any formating I need but after publishing, text in that div is unformatted. Only when I switch editor to a "text mode" and apply HTML tags (like
) text looks fine. After changing text editor to a "visual mode" it automaticly deletes my html tags and text is mess again. I think it's probably some compatibility issue with new WordPress but can anyone give mi some hint how to fix it ?

When loading a browser window of 1280x800, you can see the third column load, then disappear. It would be nice for this window size to show three columns, vs two.
