the type of context only depends on what your view passes to the template, not what you pass to template tags.

If your view uses a RequestContext, the context passed to InclusionTag.get_context will be that context.

For later readers, I'm pretty sure the OP was saying that they wanted their InclusionTag's template to be rendered with a request context.

If you return a simple dict, classytags will not render your template with a RequestContext.

In order to do that, and assuming you have request in the context which InclusionTag.get_context receives, you can do this:

from django import template

return template.RequestContext(context['request'], {
...  
})

from django-classy-tags.
