trac-slack-plugin

Plugin to announce Trac changes in Slack service.

Updating on mustafar

As www-trac, activate the venvt, and then in ~/trac-slack-plugin run:

git fetch origin master
git reset --hard FETCH_HEAD
rm -r dist
python setup.py bdist_egg
cp dist/SlackNotificationPlugin-0.2-py2.7.egg   ../trac/plugins/

Then restart uwsgi by running sudo service uwsgi restart

Installation

Requirements:

Requests library: https://pypi.python.org/pypi/requests
$ pip install requests

Deploy to a specific Trac environment:

$ cd /path/to/pluginsource
$ python setup.py bdist_egg
$ cp dist/*.egg /path/to/projenv/plugins

Enable plugin in trac.ini:

[components]
slack_notification.* = enabled

Configuration in trac.ini:

[slack]
webhook = https://hooks.slack.com/services/T03424351J2/B03451KH/t2w23452345mXaNhuuAibD
channel = #Trac
username = Trac-Bot
fields = type,component,resolution
