octo-release's Issues

[Suggestion] Option to enable / disable Vsync

Hey first issue (sorry if this one is rather lame)!

I've been experimenting with the online demo, but unfortunately I was not able to archive a good frame time.
The frame time hovers between 16 and 18 ms and I am convinced that this is due to 60Hz Vsync (eg. 16.6ms).
My hardware is more than capable of running the demo at higher frame rates, and I would love to do so for the sake of testing the engines performance.
It would be awesome if either a switch for Vsync could be added or the frame timer adjusted to only account for the time spent drawing (using a fence or similar).

Thanks for providing this great demo!

Not working

I don't know what i'm doing wrong, but this is after loading for a few minutes:
Pressing any keys or moving the mouse doesn't do anything.

Browser: Chrome
OS: windows 10

My laptop:
Intel core i7 6500u
intel HD 520
8GB DDR4

Thank you

Crashes on Android Phone

Great project!

Running the demo caused my mobile chrome browser to crash after about 10 seconds.

I was able to repeat this sequence a couple times:

  1. Load demo
  2. Click Play on about dialog (nothing happens)
  3. Voxels appear but staggered
  4. Browser restarts

If you need me to try anything please let me know.

If there is no ground beneath you, you don't fall

I built up to 10,000 units (only 1400 needed) and found when I walked off the pillar I just floated there, proceeded to completely destroy the pillar and got stuck. I imagine it should work the same as when you lodge yourself in the ground and it slowly moves you up until you reach the surface.

Problems with rendering on Mac OS

Having issue with rendering in Firefox web browser runing on my Apple Macbook pro with Intel CPU.
Only first chunk render prorperly as you can se on the image:
obrazek
If I edit mesh it aslo geting corrupted. Physics and interaction with ground work.
Safari and Chromium was geting error in WASM, so they can't even start the demo.
