cputty's Issues

Thank you so much!

Right, this is NOT an issue.
Since I found no other way to contact you I use this to just say: Thank you so much!
This is a great tool. I'm so happy I read about it on alternativeto.net. :-)

Henning

PS: Sorry for misusing the issue tracker for this.

Saving Clusters

First of All this is an awesome tool! Is there anyway you could build a way to just setup clusters from a text file or something. So that you don't have to add them on the fly I want to be able to click a shortcut or something so that the clusters persist.

Using wget

First of all, thanks for this great app!

When using wget, after that it looses the cluster.
I can rebind using the shortcut keys, but I don't know why it stops sending commands to the other machines.

Separate window for input

Hi,

Is it possible to add an extra window that is only used for input (think clusterssh)

Example:
Everything you type in that window, it's "typed" into every other active puttysessions. If something is not typed inside that window - it is not "typed" in any putty session.

Is it possible?

Cluster group suggestion

Is it possible to have cluster groups?

Imagine for example that we have the setup:

2 servers running X services
2 other servers running Y services

And we would like to keep the connection with the 4 servers, but without having to remove cluster windows and adding the others, because some commands exist in a server, but no in another.

Shortcuts like Ctrl + Alt + PgUp + 1 (repeat for N windows on group 1)
Shortcuts like Ctrl + Alt + PgUp + 2 (repeat for N windows on group 2)

pasting behavior

Thanks for a great tool. I'm running into an issue with pasting text. I see the note in the README about it only working on active windows, but even if I make the window active first, I'm getting the right-click menu multiple times, once for each window. I am using KiTTY. Also, I tried using shift-insert to paste, and while that works, it doesn't always send the text to all the connected windows. Is there another way that text can be pasted? Thanks for your help.

Indicate on Putty window bar if Putty-window is part of cluster and cluster #

Well title is quite self explanatory..

I just started to test cputty and I'd really like indication if cputty clustering putty windows and perhaps alarm if part of cluster windows are hidden. I mean I forget that I've clustered windows together and bring up on putty and start modifying it forgetting that modifications are going also to another machine..

Alt as meta key does not work

Using Alt as a meta key in emacs or for readline functionality does not work. To reproduce.

  1. Create a cluster
  2. At a bash prompt, type a few words of text, let's say "Hello cputty world"
  3. You can now move back and forward words by typing ESC then b and ESC then f respectively. If instead of ESC you attempt to move forward and back words using ALT-b and ALT-f, it will work in the controlling putty window, but in other windows of the cluster it will just output "b" or "f". For example if you are at the command line with the cursor after the final "d" in "Hello cputty world", then typing ALT-b will leave the text the same but move the cursor to just before the w in world. In the other putty windows it will change the text to "hello cputty worldb" with the cursor after the "b" which has been added.

Please let me know if any of this is not clear.

Thanks!

-Matt
