• quick sanity check to make sure that it's working out of the box with random AIs.

Have the following features coded (as many as possible), and choose how good we want it to be on the day:

• capture next unowned mine
• heal if too unhealthy
• avoid spikes when possible
• (if time permits) if leading, camp a beer
• (if time permits) if losing, slay top player

I propose the following, since we'll only make them fight once (at the end):

3 games per tournament round. Rank AIs based on a sum of "scores". Scores could either be rank (e.g. 1st + 3rd + 2nd = 6 total points) or relative points (e.g. 80% of all points in 1st game + 45% of all points in 2nd + 90% of all points in 3rd = 215% total (2.15)).

We can talk about this IRL.

• Go INCREMENTAL & test frequently, SMALL steps or you'll end up with an AI that loses against random (you REALLY don't want to be that AI)
