Hey i keep getting this error.
You have any idea what to do?
I'm just posting this here in hopes of saving the next person hours of wasted time.
This plugin requires information that there is no way to get: ProductKey or ProductId (it uses different terms in different places), gwId, and the IP address, which it's easy to get if you only have one single device, but if you have more than one, there doesn't appear to be any way to figure out which device IDs correspond to which actual devices and hence to which IP addresses.
I've looked all over the place. I'm assuming the missing IP addresses, or an incorrect gwId or productKey, are why this plugin doesn't work, but several hours of online research has not revealed any way to get any of this information with any specificity.
The frustrating thing is this appears to be the only plugin that doesn't incorrectly expose color temperature and RGB at the same time, which causes Home.app presets to display colors incorrectly for Tuya bulbs, otherwise I wouldn't have spent hours trying to figure out how to get the undocumented and apparently unobtainable information to make it work.
Is it possible to set white ambience with this plugin? The RGB is working well, however, white lights don't seem to work, the bulbs are RGBW and when I select a "Temperature" in Homekit, it seems to always select a colour, which is never a true white and makes the bulbs always look blue instead of cool white etc.
This is the only plugin that works and doesn't crash homebridge, so I'm hoping it's still being maintained!
Thanks
I have an issue where one of the lights that previously worked fine no longer works through the plugin. It still works in the Smart Life app and I have even repaired it to see if that fixed it, and it did not.
I would provide debug info but there is none, right before it gets to the device homebridge just freezes, if I change enabled to false everything starts fine.
I have 3 other lights that work perfectly, ordered at exact same time and this light worked fine a week before just stopping. Any ideas how I can debug further?
The product ID is:
sMk7hhVsN5KBWbwV
and the link to where I bought them is:
When changing colour within scenes I can't seem to get the light to go white without shifting to a low light washed out purple first. The light in general seems to need improved transitions as within the Tuya app I can smoothly go between colours fine but in home app it gets confused and sometimes goes to other colours before the one i selected. Other than that the app is working great and I am very pleased I managed to get it working! Thanks for your input to the homebridge community.
