fbcmd's Issues

Not working as of 09.01.2015

Hi @dtompkins,

I am not sure whether you are still working on fbcmd. However, it does not work anymore with the recent API of Facebook.

The commands fbcmd go access and bcmd go auth just lead to a blank page.

Regards,

Robert

Facebook are dropping the offline_access permission

Apologies if this doesn't apply to this project but I just stumbled across it and wanted to give you a heads up about a potential issue.

Facebook have announced that they're dropping support for the offline_access permission:

https://developers.facebook.com/roadmap/offline-access-removal/

As of October 3rd, all existing offline_access access tokens will be given a 60 day expiry period. Once those have expired, you will need to retrieve long-lived (60 day) user access_tokens every 60 days.

Please feel free to get in touch if you want more details, I've been looking into this quite a bit recently and the documentation isn't always clear.

nsend not working as advertised

harleypig@harleypig:~$ fbcmd nsend =me 'testing'
fbcmd [v1.0-beta3] ERROR: NSEND
[3] Unknown method
RECIPIENT_NAME

I'm using 1.0-beta3

UPDATE TO NEW GRAPH API?

Hello.

Since 1. January, v1.0 API from Facebook is killed. Now i get:

ERROR: could not convert session key to auth token

Can someone update this script to work with the current Facebook API?

status returns empty string

in funciton GetCurrentStatus:

I updated my status then ran fbcmd status and the status array element always returns empty.

unitialized string warning

I'm sorry, I closed this issue by mistake. When running 'fbcmd stream' I'm getting the following:

PHP Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /usr/local/lib/fbcmd/fbcmd.php on line 3512
PHP Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /usr/local/lib/fbcmd/fbcmd.php on line 3512

I'm using 1.0-beta3. It doesn't seem to be affecting anything, but it is annoying.

graph.facebook.com error: failed curl POST

$ fbcmd auth XXXXX

fbcmd [v2.0-beta2] ERROR: Failed CURL POST:

unitialized string warning

When running 'fbcmd stream' I get the following:

PHP Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /usr/local/lib/fbcmd/fbcmd.php on line 3512
PHP Notice: Uninitialized string offset: 0 in /usr/local/lib/fbcmd/fbcmd.php on line 3512

It still seems to be working, but it is annoying.

Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings.

I'm getting couple of warning messages when I do fbcmd stream :

Warning: date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings. You are required to use the date.timezone setting or the date_default_timezone_set() function. In case you used any of those methods and you are still getting this warning, you most likely misspelled the timezone identifier. We selected 'Asia/Calcutta' for 'IST/5.0/no DST' instead in /usr/local/lib/fbcmd/fbcmd.php on line 3501

Timezone Warning

If you have your warning set high, you'll get:
"date(): It is not safe to rely on the system's timezone settings."

photo upload

When trying to upload pics, I get this error:
fbcmd [v1.00-beta2] ERROR: ADDPIC
[321] Album is full
I've never had much luck uploading photos with fbcmd; I don't remember what errors I was getting before โ€” it could have been the same error message, or a different one.
I was able to upload the same picture to the same album using the actual facebook interface.
I'm running the beta2 version.
