I need this plugin, but it does not work for me. I did not receive any event when I tried to use it in my application with Cordoba. It just started with the "OK" response code and that's all. I did not receive any error messages in the error callback. Do you have any plans to work on this or is this plug-in dead?

I'm testing this plugin on a Android 5.1.1 (Lenovo A6020I36) and it triggers the event always after aprox. 60.000 [ms] (actually it triggers erratically after: 59.978, 92.845, 134.366, 12.776, 59.998, ... [ms]).

This is the code:

BackgroundTimer.onTimerEvent(eventCallback);
BackgroundTimer.start(successCallback, errorCallback, settings);

Hi guys,

Just as in the title, my question is how to make this timer works after the app has been killed completely, I'm currently making a chat app using socket connection which is the one that needs to be alive all time.
