this is probably a low priority, but:

maybe separate columns for separate topics

maybe a timeline/scrub-bar

maybe filter by xref with autocompletion

enable/disable/reorder topics

filter by message type

filter by other message value

should blow up on invalid message encode

pbpp when reading json should encode and decode and compare the input to the output and blow up or at least warn the user that they lost a field

tin validators should work in this tool

this is maybe the lowest priority, but checking for fields that have no mapping in your protobuf message type and at least warning the user might be useful for detecting a certain class of error condition

will need command line arguments or a mapping file specifying the correspondence between topic and message format
