Mate is a chess app for iOS and macOS. Play against Stockfish AI at any difficulty, or challenge a friend over Wi-Fi — each player on their own device. No accounts, no servers, no passing phones around.

• Stockfish AI — 8 difficulty levels, from "just learned the rules" to "please stop"
• Local network multiplayer — peer-to-peer chess over Wi-Fi, each player gets their own board
• Two-player local mode — share one screen if you're into that
• Eval bar — real-time position evaluation so you can watch your advantage evaporate
• Move history — full undo/redo, because we all deserve second chances

Both devices on the same Wi-Fi? That's it. Mate uses peer-to-peer networking to discover and connect players automatically. No room codes, no QR scanning, no login. Open the app, find your opponent, play.
