Getting Started

Requirements:

• Compiler: GCC/G++ 11 or Clang 13
• Ubuntu 22.04
• conan : 1.59 or latest 2.X

up-client-zenoh-cpp dependencies

1. install up-client-zenoh-cpp library https://github.com/eclipse-uprotocol/up-client-zenoh-cpp

How to Build

$ cd up-zenoh-example-cpp
$ mkdir build
$ cd build

$ conan install ..
$ cmake -S .. -DCMAKE_TOOLCHAIN_FILE=conan_toolchain.cmake -DCMAKE_BUILD_TYPE=Release 
$ cmake --build .

up-zenoh-example-cpp's Issues

Switch examples to micro-compatible UUri objects

up-client-zenoh-cpp#23 changes the Zenoh client to use micro-serialized URIs in the Zenoh keys. The examples will need to be updated to ensure that the UUri objects used have the necessary fields to be serialized in the micro URI format.

Create an example that demonstrates usage of sending protobuf object over uP

Synchronize the UUri used by Rust and C++

If we want to ensure interoperability between examples in different languages, it would be better to use the same UUri.

Maybe we can update the UUri with a more practical naming. Feel free to suggest a better one.
