Usage

REE.Unpacker "TAG_LIST_FILE" "INPUT_PAK_FILE"

REE.Unpacker "TAG_LIST_FILE" "INPUT_PAK_FILE" "UNPACK_DIRECTORY (OPTIONAL)"

Note

If the output directory is not specified, then the unpacked files will be in the same place as the PAK file

Example

REE.Unpacker RE4_PC_Release "E:\Games\RESIDENT EVIL 4\re_chunk_000.pak.patch_002.pak"

REE.Unpacker RE4_PC_Release "E:\Games\RESIDENT EVIL 4\re_chunk_000.pak.patch_002.pak" "D:\RE4_Unpacked"

Warning

The Projects folder must be in the tool folder, don't forget to copy it :)

Usage

REE.Packer "INPUT_DIRECTORY" "OUTPUT_PAK_FILE"

Don't forget to make a backup of the PAK archives

Ghost trick font

Hi, currently Im using REE.FontCryptor.exe to decript a oft.1 file into .ttf, but I can not convert it back to oft.1. Other font files are converted perfectly. Here the zip of that file.

Where do I enter cmd?

Sorry I'm not that familiar with this sort of thing, I've used REtool to extract some pak files but that's it.

where am I supposed to use those commands? For example: REE.Unpacker "RE8_M_PS5_Demo.list" "re_chunk_000.pak"

I've tried opening a powershell and cmd window inside that folder and it gives me an error. Please help, I'm just trying to extract the

music from the Maiden Demo. You don't have any contact info so idk where else to ask

Tried to extract .pak files from macOS port of RE8, but looks like file paths are different - existing list for PC doesn’t help. Is there a way to discover file paths for macOS version?

Ghost Trick project file?

Strangely enough, the new Ghost Trick remaster uses RE Engine. I'm interested in looking into its internals, but apparently a list of filenames is needed to extract the pak?

Could a list be made for the game, or it explained how to make my own list? Or just, let it extract files without defined names, just counting up?

Hi, I'm a new modder working on a translation project for Resident Evil 2 Remake. I want to thank you for RE2_PC_Release.list because it really helped me to complete my mod. but i found 5 unknown msg.17 files. 2 files for the '98 costum dlc and 3 files one of which I think is the file for the ray tracing settings. So, I really hope that you will be willing to update the filepath list so that I can complete my translation mod project. anyways, great job guys.

Hi, can you please checkout the new filenames for RE2 PC release? Latest update completely renamed all essential files. We are interested especially in .msg files. Normally small change in last number is present (.msg.14 to some other number at the end) and we can do some guessing (algorithmically), but this time it is not the case (we tested numbers from 0 to 1000000). It will be probably the same extension for all msg files so we can use previous list. Thanks in advance.

But some decrypted files have 0x00000100 as magic.
