Hi all,
Zxp installer is calling Exman to install extension at all user folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions)
But, i want install it to user folder at roaming folder: C:\Users{User}\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CEP\extensions
What solution i can use?

Whenever I try open ZXP Installer I get this popup: “ZXPInstaller” can’t be opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Please help with getting around this? Or do I need to download it from somewhere else?

Is there a way I can silent install an ZXPInstaller.app package via command line, for mass deployment purposes? I need to push out a plugin to a lot of machines, and I want to do something like:

/tmp/ZXPInstaller.app/Contents/MacOS/Electron -noui -verbose > /var/log/ZXPInstaller.log

Hello. First, thank you very much for this great tool. For one of my ZXP's, it installed very smoothly in Photoshop CC2015. For another, I received the message:
Failed To Install, Status = -411!
What does this error mean?

I wondered if I should run it as Administrator. I restarted ZXPInstaller as adminstrator, and it does not allow a zxp file to be dropped onto it.

I reinstalled as Administrator, then started program normally--still shows -411 error.

Same behavior as before for Run as Administrator--it won't let ANY zxp file be dropped on it. Strange.

Had BG Renderer Max installed previously. Got error code 205 for After Effects. Had to do clean install of CC and After Effects. ZXP no longer detecting After Effects. Returning the rror code "Please install a compatible CC application and try again.

I have a zxp that is setup for PPRO 2015.3 but wont install via the zxp installer, but it will install via the ExManCmd.

I have set the versions to "9.0 - 10.9" in the manifest.

Any help would be great.

Dragging zxp on zxp installer shows this error. What does "No updater detected" mean?

When I try to install the plugin on windows 10, the error "Installation failed because of a file operation error". On Windows 8.1 is no such errors.

I recently downloaded ZXP Installer to add a plug-in because stupid Adobe CC Extention Manager keeps saying I don't have Photoshop (which of course, I do). Yes, I downloaded the Mac version, and downloaded it twice, restarting my computer, etc. When I open the extension, it says it had been installed, but I can't find it ANYWHERE. The new extension is not to be found in the CEP file folder (where all my other extensions are still located, and working in Photoshop 2015.5 just fine).
If there was a way to extract it into a folder, I could put it there myself, but I don't see an option for choosing where to extract it to.
I have opened Photoshop, looked in the Window/Extensions, and the extension isn't listed there. I've looked at other folders, just in the off-chance I'd find the missing extension, but it is lost. Either it wasn't truly extracted, or it was saved somewhere I can't find it. Any help would be excellent because this extension is an Impasto Painter suite, and as a painter, it would really enhance my work. Thanks!

When i trying to install geoLayer 2 i have this error. Can you help me?

When only Illustrator CC2019 is installed the installer will report that the ZXP file is not compatible with the version, Even though its set in the manifest file.

If an older version is installed, such as CC2015 it will install fine, and run fine on CC1029 without an issue so I suspect its the installer and not the manifest xml settings

Is there an update from Adobe which can be incorporated to fix this issue or is it the manifest,

This is not really and issue, but a question. But first thanks for ZXPInstaller. I am glad to see that it still works with the latest release of Photoshop.
I tried it yesterday with an expired Certificate and it installed the extension without any warnings. Does ZXPInstaller ignore the Certificate?

Hi, I'm installing my extension on a Windows 7 setup, where I have InDesign CC versions (2014, 2015, 2017) installed. I've removed all previous versions of my extension, but ZXPInstaller keeps giving me this message. Maybe I've missed something... I've removed files from these places:

• "%HOMEPATH%\AppData\Local\Temp\cep_cache*.*"
• C:\Program files (x86)\Common files\Adobe\CEP\extensions
• Plus InDesign prefs and saveddata
  At this point the error message seems spurious, like it's really some other error instead. Ideas?
  BTW, I too am very grateful for this app -- it's a lifesaver for us.

As you probably already know after the recent update to CC 2015.5 the installation is broken, it doesn't work at all.
On Windows, the panels previously installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEP\extensions
actually are going to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\CEPServiceManager4\extensions
so they are not detected by Photoshop.
The question is:
any plan to update the brilliant ZXP INSTALLER?

Hi there! This is great program thank you sooo much! But how can I uninstall extensions now? I know that this program won't do it but is there a way?

I use Windows 10.

I'm trying to figure out how to install this program with a silent switch like /s or /silent. No luck so far. I've googled silent switches for exmancmd.exe as well but haven't found much. Hoping someone has already figured this out.

I tried to install ParametricCurves_1_1_0.zxp which I purchased as is NO licence required but received the following error message "Installation failed because it the ZXPInstaller could not check the license online."

When I attempt to install this program on my MacBook I get this error. Not sure what to do here. Please help?

ZXPInstaller works perfectly fine with HTML-only extension. But now that I created a hybrid extension containing plugins, ZXP Installer on Windows only deploys the aip file, but not the HTML extension. No error is shown, but I can't find the extension in any of the supported extension folders.

Hello, I'm trying to install Adobe Color CC Panel (formerly Kuler), and neither Adobe Extension Manager or ZXPInstaller will install it into InDesign 2014. Is there a workaround for this at all?

I use ZXPInstaller to create my own installer. It installs a fixed .zxp extension. So far so good.

I can sign my app with electron-osx-sign, so far so good.

Now I want to notarize the app with apple to have a distribute-able/safe app without getting blocked by Gatekeeper.

Using ZXP Installer on mac v10.13.2, after I drag SquashAndStretch_Free.zxp onto the ZXP Installer window, it hangs up on "installing your extension"

The title is the error message. I am connected to the internet.

Trying to install extension and get this message :
"Failed to parse the extension file: please assign a correct name to your extension and check that path doesn't contain international characters. Path to extension must contain English character only for installation to complete"
I can't find any accented characters or non ascii characters in any of my used paths.

Adobe's Extension Manager could be worked with from the command-line. This was useful in a situation like ours where we need to pre-install some extensions in entire rooms of computers, for all users.

I have not been able to find ZXPInstaller's command-line tool(s) or anything that would replicate the same functionality.
e.g. zxpinstall -install /Users/username/extension.zxp

ZXP installer says "Installation failed because the extension is not compatible with the installed applications", I'm on the latest version of photoshop cc 2015.5 and my extension is supported. Are there some issues with the application or is it my extension though?

Trying to install Bodymovin-TG (which is pretty fresh) and keep getting this error.

Previously installed Bodymovin, deleted it and tried to install again and get an error saying "Please install compatible cc program and try again" pops up.

Any suggestions before uninstalling Adobe package? :)

Drag and drop directly into the UI isn't working, at first I thought it was because I was attempting to install it from a zipped archive but after extracting the .zxp from the .zip it still didn't work.

i've downloaded Version '1.6.2' but when selecting it in the Finder and using 'Get Info' it shows Version '0.25.3'

i believe the '--version=0.25.3' flag in your package.json is the culprit

I try to install in a completly new Windows (without previous installations) and ZXPInstaller shows "Installation failed because ZXPInstaller could not update the database. It should not be possible to receive this error", but really installation has been done correctly.

Someone knows what happens? Where adobe saves databases?
