I'd like to see this feature too, though I do wonder about the administrative ability to add terms to the taxonomies. As it stands, the field doesn't support adding new terms to the taxonomy which the default UI does. In some ways, it would be nice to show the core UI to administrators but no one lower. But maybe I'm over complicating things...

@mrwweb You could just add them via the admin-menu item right? And then select them in the ACF field you're creating to replace this (as that's the only reason you'd really want this).

In my case, we want to be able to hide a taxonomy if a certain field group is showing. Which at the same time only shows if another conditional is met.

This'd be a great feature. Although maybe there's an action we can hook onto? To include a custom taxonomy in the hide on screen options.
