hedra-editor-and-librarian's Issues

naming and saving patches

i must be missing something obvious here but i see an unanswered question on the YouTube channel about it, so i figure at least one other person has the same question: how do you rename a patch?

relatedly, if you drag a library patch into the preset list and edit it, if you try to save to Hedra & lib it will always say "The sound in in the Library as: " but it doesn't offer a chance to edit the name at this point either.

Amazingly useful tool for sound design but it'd be super to be able to edit presets...i expect the workaround is to edit the JSON directly so i'll try that but i thought i'd log an issue anyway.

Disappearing names (to unnamed)

Hi Elliot,

i have your Mercury7,Polymoon,Hedra and Enzo Editors in upcoming use and try to dig in the functionality of your editors and build up a library for me. So enormous helpful, i love them very much so far.
I communicate with the Pedals via Meris I/O and a Roland UM-One. And I use an Audiofront MIDI Expression iO for Expression-Pedal-Input; works like a charm so far....
However, when I work in the Hedra Editor, make my 16 Presets and transfer them to the Hedra, the names of the presets in the list seem to disappear (one by one) and being swapped out by the name of 'unnamed'. When I save them as a preset group, they also get he same unnamed label after I load them up again. Sometimes a (or some) real-name appears, not always the same ones. The presets are in the right location and work as expected. I opened the Groupfile.pgr in a Text-editor, all names are stored correctly.
Sometimes (rarely) this also happens in the other editors; a name disappears and gehts swapped out by unnamed - but with the Hedra editor this happens with every preset....

Do you have any ideas?

Connection issues

I was about to open issue that I don't understand the editors cause they don't see to do what I'd expect, but after watching the youtube video, I see that the pedal is just not connected because my editor still says "Connect" rather than "Connected." Which I don't understand because I can tweak parameters in the interface, and it is definitely (I am 100% sure about this) updating the pedal. I've double checked the midi settings and channel. But I can't save presets or change their names or anything, presumably because it's not connected. My connection looks like: MacOS -> USB -> Mastermind PBC 10 -> standard MIDI cable -> Disaster Area Design MIDI Box 4 -> standard MIDI cable -> Disaster Area MIDI Box -> 1/4 inch TRS cable -> pedal (sorry, it's part of a longer chain). I am assuming you might want me to try connecting directly, but 1) I don't know how to do that. 1/4 inch MIDI to USB-C isn't a thing I don't think. If I had a 1/4 inch to 5 pin MIDI cable, maybe I could go directly to my Scarlett, but I don't. 2) I was really hoping to be able to use the editor (and indeed multiple editors) without having to swap cables all the time - just sit down and plug my Mastermind into my laptop and go.
