hey @spamwax can you compare with the gruvbox-community version and check if its the same output? This plugin is a direct copy of the original one in vimscript

Yea, community version behaves like the screenshots above.
I guess it's a matter of preference. I personally don't like the highlighted one since it breaks away from the rest of the background.
Is there anything highlight group or setting that I can use to change it?

I think the option is only available on the original version, through g:gruvbox_sign_column
var. The community version, which this plugin is based from, doesn't have this option

It looks a little uncomfortable because of the transparent background...
Not that important, but it would be better if everything was perfect.

By commenting this line out I can get transparent background, is there any other way?
