Hi, @longlho. Thanks for reaching out.
At the moment, I prefer that ember-intl
remains in the ember-intl
organization, as the library belongs to the wider Ember community and I just happen to be the current maintainer through work.
Another reason for keeping it here is, this library needs to be simplified and updated to follow the "v2 addon format." In simple terms, the v2 format will make ember-intl
look more like a regular package. Because the path to v2 format is yet unknown, I think it's best that it remains here to allow rapid experimentations and to eliminate variables (e.g. project dependencies) from the outside, which may make debugging errors difficult.
What I think could help (and what I presume the Ember community would also love to see) is, if https://formatjs.io/docs/getting-started/installation mentions how to set up ember-intl
and provides a link to https://ember-intl.github.io/ember-intl/ for more information. Would such a mention on your site be a possibility?
Edit: Maybe, better yet, in https://formatjs.io/docs/ember-intl
, similarly to https://formatjs.io/docs/vue-intl.

v2 format is yet unknown
Is this still true? looks like it could happen in ember-intl@v6 as a minor release.

Will close the issue, as I don't plan to move ember-intl
to the formatjs
repo at the moment.
