jacobappelbaumleavestor's Issues

Certain links do not work anymore

Tor developer George Kadianakis ("asn") shared a link with former Tor Browser bundle signer Erinn Clark ("helix") to a Riseup.net etherpad first saved on November 30th, 2015 (shown via the timeslider), which doesn't appear to have been edited further until June 26th 2016; someone used the pad to allege that Lovecruft was an FBI informant between 14:36-14:49 on June 27th. Since anyone can edit anonymously and the date of the edit is so recent (within a day of the pastebins going viral), there is no reason to believe this etherpad document is authentic.

The etherpad link in this quote do not work anymore. Same goes for the githubusercontent link under it.

Make into separate sections

Maybe it be a good idea to separate the main sections like

  • The History
  • The Resignation
  • The Website and Twitter Accounts
  • The Allegations
  • The Public Reaction

Would maybe make it easy to browse the document. I can send pull request if you like.

Factual inaccuracy about directory authorities

"He also ran one of Tor's directory authorities (nicknamed "urras"), special servers which maintain a list of all verified exit nodes and help Tor clients find relays in the network"

AFAIK, directory authorities maintain a list/consensus about all Tor relays, not just exit relays. I think there's one exception: unpublished bridge relays. Those must necessarily be kept from public view for them to work.

Nick Far asked to purge wiki history, possibly unrelated 11dec'15 tweet with commitment

I am glad i was wrong in feeling that waiting for the truth would "only dull the senses", as i felt it did with Ian Murdock.(Mind you i don't actually know these people, "only by software", but...) I tried taking notes, but nothing not noted here better already, really.

Nick Far was also asked to purge the history of the wiki page from the guy wanting to do a lightning talk on him being a US Intelligence Operative. Perhaps just distracting detail.(edit: alledgedly, of course)

11 Dec 2015,(creation of tweet ithink) Jake also pinned 62f50063cf2f4be935275032e13394e4857c232b However, no indication at all what it is about, or at all related. (perh. distracting detail..)

Note: i am in Eindhoven.

Navigation with Updates

I've opened this issue to ask how easy it is for you (readers) to find new information in my investigation. Even though every commit is highlighted in the History, I don't know whether readers use that to find new information or if you just scroll through the article looking for parts that seem new. I would appreciate if I could get a few responses on one or more of these questions:

1) How do you find new information/ updates that I add? How easy are they to find?
2) Do you think I should make it easier to find these new/ updated sections?
