Read JSON Demo Tutorial

Demonstration of an Angular application that reads a JSON file, listing Sanrio characters.

This project was generated with Angular CLI version 12.2.10.

Project developed following Read JSON Tutorial.

Development server

Run ng serve for a dev server. Navigate to http://localhost:4200/. The app will automatically reload if you change any of the source files.

Build

Run ng build to build the project. The build artifacts will be stored in the dist/ directory.

Running unit tests

Run ng test to execute the unit tests via Karma.

Importing json file

import myJson from '../file/myJson.json'; // This import style requires "esModuleInterop",

Make sure to add these settings in the compilerOptions section of your tsconfig.json:

"resolveJsonModule": true,
"esModuleInterop": true,

Typescript 2.9.0 has a bug with this JSON feature, it was fixed with 2.9.2
The esModuleInterop is only necessary for the default import of the JSON file. If you leave it set to false then you have to import it with import * as colorsJson from '../file/myJson.json'
