RGB light plugins for CoreTemp (alcpu) to control the PC RGB LEDs based on CPU temperature and CPU load

I've been trying to figure this out. What is the file I need to download that contains the plugin? I tried RGBlightplugins-master and tried placing the contents in the "RGB" folder in Program Files\CoreTemp\Plugins. I also tried just copying the contents of the OpenRGBplugin folder into the CoreTemp/Plugins folder, as well as the actual OpenRGPlugin folder and contents into the Plugins folder as well. Nothing makes the plugin show in the plugins list in CoreTemp. I don't think I have the right file, because I also don't see the INI file or a dll file which I noticed for another plugin does show up. Thanks for your help in clarifying this.
I compiled the code with VS 2019. I put it in the RGB folder in the plug in folder in the coretemp folder in Program Files. I have an ASUS Maximus 12 Hero Wifi. Which mainboard LEDS should CoreTemp be changing?
Hi Eric,
First off, let me say that I love this plugin for OpenRGB, thank you so much for working on it! My Gigabyte motherboard's OEM software does not allow for color change based on CPU temperature so I've been looking all over the place on how to implement this.
I have 2 feature requests and I hope this is the right place to ask for these (I'm new to GitHub, sorry!)
I have a white case and white fan build, is there any way to allow for a white color in the hue temperature scale? My ideal setup would be for the color to be white at HUECold (Start color) and then transition to red when the temperature hits THot
Can you define more than one RGB device index with ControlIdx in the CoreTemp plugin INI file? I have 2 devices (0=GPU, 1=Motherboard) that I would like to control at the same time.
Thank you again!!!
Has this been tested to work with the current release of ORGB? I love this plugin for Coretemp, I had it working and to see my temps in color was way better than looking at the taskbar. No it doesn't error out, but the LED's no longer respond.
I've installed the latest versions (OpenRGB Light Plugin 1.0, OpenRGB 0.7) and it works, but something seems out of sync. I've set mode to "off" in OpenRGB, but I get flickering which turns part of the keyboard off (different rows cycling).
Perhaps I've just missed some sync setting but I couldn't find one.
See attached video.
Hey!
I followed the installation steps:
There were no more steps so I ran OpenRGB with the Server SDK enabled and CoreTempClientPlugin appears there in SDK Server tab but for some reason motherboard RGB is not changing colours according to temperature. (I had coretemp open)
Are there any more steps required, did I miss anything? Did I do the steps wrong?
I appreciate any help that I could get, thanks you in advance.
